Way too much internal dialogue not enough of the story. There are pages of internal dialogue only broken up by two sentences of actual dialogue! I’m at the first book, chapter 7 and it’s taking all of me not to just close the book and not read any more of the entire box set.

The narration is off and the voice for the non football lead sounds like a girl and the narrator is super dramatic with his part. If this narration continues for all of the books like this, there’s no way I’m getting anywhere close to the end.
