The Federation races to discover the culprits of several terrorist attacks, sending their flagship, the USS Prometheus, to stop war breaking out in the galaxy.

A mysterious terrorist organisation has carried out several attacks against the Federation and Klingon Empire. Tensions are running high in a region already crippled by conflict. The perpetrators are tracked to the Lembatta Cluster, a mysterious region of space whose inhabitants, the Renao, regard the Alpha Quadrant s powers as little more than conquering tyrants. The Federation are desperate to prevent more bloodshed, and have sent their most powerful warship, the USS Prometheus, into the Cluster to investigate the threat before all-consuming war breaks out.

Narrator pernounces words incorrectly regularly like Beta and Tal Shiar which is very distracting at times. The book is really good.

I don't understand why I find the narrator's voice totally depressed me, I couldn't get past 1st chapter. He reads so slow monotone he made the story so boring.
I made a MISTAKE by buying all 3 books at once. I Tried listening to the 2nd, 3rd books, I swear his voice got worse.
Maybe if I get Prosaic or Pot I'll try again?

Definitely an entertaining story, and it's interesting how much it expands the universe outside of the TNG universe of tv series. I really enjoyed it.

great for star trek fans

good story, absolutely AWEFUL narrator, mispronouncing way to many words, clearly does not know anything about star trek, if he did, he would not mispronounce names like Beta, Chronos and Tal'Shiar. very hard to listen too, had to stop halfway through.
