A fantastic listen

This book kept me interested into the very end. I am not a person who picks apart a book on its technical details but by the pure enjoyment of the read. I am sure there are parts which are not up to the other Star Trek writes, but I still enjoyed it considerably. Having it narrated by William Shatner was a bonus and added to the books quality. I will be listening too all the books in this series.

A'ight

I really wish it wasn't abridged. And the background music is a little annoying at times.

Much better than Star Trek Discovery

It's a true to the original Star Trek type of story. Good plot and great execution. 100 times better than Star Trek Discovery which we know no real trekkie would watch. I enjoy this as much as Star Trek Picard. Only flaw is the adversaries was brilliant at the beginning but fell short towards the end which defies logic.

a good read despite being an adept of the original

absolutely loved it, William shatner's performance at times is a bit droning but still enjoyable I feel this audiobook would have done better with a cast of voice actors, the story is original and well thought out and just a fun ride! I remember reading this book originally years ago always liked it one of my favorites happy to have it on audible now, it does suffer an adapted much of the story is missing you lose something in the listening this way

What an excellent book

This book was a fantastic read. They should have made this into a movie. If you want to see Captain Kirk go out fighting and be hero than this book is for you.
