For the handful of scattered Jedi, survival is imperative if the light side of the Force is to be protected and the galaxy somehow, someday reclaimed. Yet more important still is the well-being of the twin infants, Leia and Luke Skywalker, the children of Anakin and his doomed bride, Padme Amidala. Separated after Padme's death, they must be made safe at all costs, lest the hope they represent for the future be turned to horror by the new Sith regime, and the unspeakable power of the dark side.

Exciting engaging stories made me desire to rewatch the clone wars Star Wars series from the beginning.
This is awesome book has several short stories that recount highlights of the clone wars series. In the first story Yoda teaches a bunch of clones how to work together. In fact, this is actually recounting the first episode of the clone wars TV series. Other stories talk about Dooku and how he was captured by pirates, Darth Maul and how he was brought back to life to avenge himself upon Obi-Wan Kenobi, and more. Give this a read. It’s well worth your credit! Peace out and have a great day.

some stories have repetitive sounds
Some stories have the same 3 tones on repeat over and over again in the background. Also whoever is in charge of the music ends the songs off in a weird way right in the middle of the song and just echo/fades away mid-tone. It's really weird. This only started since Disney took over.

All stories are episodes of animanted clone wars
These are all stories from the clone wars tv show from the point of view of a different character, no new stories from the Clone Wars era. Its interesting, but not what I was hoping for. it's like listening to the audiobook of the novelization of the animated TV show, lol wow I just read that back and it sounds amusing but it's entirely accurate depiction. If you liked "From a certain point of view" you will enjoy this.

A bland retelling of stories you already know.
I was pretty disappointed by this book. As a longtime Star Wars fan, I was excited at the prospect of a Clone Wars anthology that would expand upon the lore and offer new perspectives on familiar events like “A Certain Point of View” did. Instead, we get several Clone Wars story arcs told from the perspective of a main character that beat-for-beat retell the story from the show. If you’re enough of a fan to be looking at this book, you probably already know these stories well enough that the book won’t add anything for you.
The production quality was high, as always. The one original story was actually exactly what I was hoping for, but it’s not strong enough to carry the rest of the book.
Overall, this book can be safely skipped. Spend your credits elsewhere.

Definition of JOYLESS CASH GRAB
Grew up with clone wars and watched every episode possible. I admit I'm having troubles putting into words my disappointment. Since the Disney take over it seems that they put out, one ok or good book and then 3 cash grab books. Honestly this one felt like management called the authors in and said heres your episode aim for 20 or 40 minutes of content. I understand this is aimed at a lower age bracket. That being said there are solid rumors that at least 2 full seasons were fully written at the time the show was put aside for whatever reason. The book Star Wars: Dark Disciple was crafted from a small portion of those unused materials and is great. The fact that the decision was made to simply regurgitate used material while theres still stories untold is greatly disappointing. Expecting Clone Wars fans new and old to pay full price for a rerun because its been repackage is disgusting and disrespectful. Clone Wars fans starved for new materials have rode a roller coaster of hope and disappoint. Fans like me hoping for a new story will only find a small taste of a new story in the end of the book that reads like the first chapter of a story that leaves you hanging. Clone Wars fans will be left heartbreakingly disappointed.........again!

Very uneven
Some stories are too much just a retelling of the episode (they all do it to a degree, but some are too much). Some I think are taken from the wrong character’s POV. The Umbara one is taken from Rex’s POV but Krell’s would have been much more interesting. The Maul and Cad Banes ones are good though. So, it’s ok but not as good as I had hoped. Kinda like the prequels. And sequels.

There's not enough new here to justify spending the time with it. It would be more satisfying to re-watch the series. The one original short story was good, but not good enough to pay for this whole collection.

Ok but if you've seen the show don't bother.
It's ok but I was honestly if you've seen the show don't pick it up not worth it. When I first heard of this book I thought it would be telling for some of the episodes that didn't make the cut for when the series was first cancelled back in 2014. As it turns out it is not the case with this book, basically it is just a retelling of some arcs in the series from a certain character's perspective which still I thought could be interesting. Overall the book is ok and it did add some interesting details like for Yoda's story which is a retelling of the first episode "Ambush" from his perspective but frankly to me as a huge fan of the show it felt like a copy and paste of the scripts/story. One story I was mostly disappointed with was the Umbara Arc retelling, the arc as a whole is one my favorites in the series and when I heard it would be included it only added to my excitement. Seeing Clone Trooper Kix be featured on the cover you would think that this particular story of the Umbara Arc would take place from his perspective but no it's from Captain Rex, a character who's POV was already widely explored in the tv show itself so you can imagine the bit of disappointment it left. Although with that minor detail in mind I think in other ways it did some justice for this particular story arc and the voice acting is well done. As a whole one of my favorite aspects of this audiobook is that they brought some of the voice actors from the show to either play their respective characters and or other characters.

"Star Wars: Stories of Light and Dark"
In this book, various authors have been brought together to retell some of the more memorable and familiar tales from TV series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", from fresh perspectives through specific characters’ points-of-view. The short stories are fairly faithful retellings that anyone who’s sat through the 130+ episodes has already experienced, although they’re now in prose form and told from an intriguing-enough variety of points-of-view and tenses. In general I’m not the biggest fan of written adaptations derived from movies and/or TV shows I’ve already seen, and this collection didn’t really impress me enough to change my mind. I would much rather have seen an assortment of original stories like the last entry, “Bug” that take a noteworthy cue or event from The Clone Wars and run with it, adding to the overall narrative rather than simply regurgitating parts of it.
