"Narrators Stella Bloom and Jason Clarke provide all the ingredients for the listener to have a love affair with Hunting's story."—AudioFile Magazine

Charming, hilarious, and emotional, Starry-Eyed Love is Helena Hunting at her very best!

Having just broken up with her boyfriend, London Spark is not in the mood to be hit on. Especially not when she’s out celebrating her single status with her sisters. So when a very attractive man pays for their drinks and then slips her his number, she passes it right back to him with a "thanks, but no thanks". As the business administrator for their family’s event hotel, the Spark House, London has more important things to worry about, like bringing in new clientele.

As luck would have it, a multi-million-dollar company calls a few months later asking for a meeting to discuss a potential partnership, and London is eager to prove to her sisters, and herself, that she can land this deal. Just when she thinks she has nailed her presentation, the company’s CEO, Jackson Holt, walks in and inserts himself into the meeting. Not only that, but he also happens to be the same guy she turned down at the bar a few months ago.

As they begin to spend more time together, their working relationship blossoms into something more. It isn’t until their professional entanglements are finally over, that London and Jackson are finally ready to take the next step in their relationship. But between Jackson’s secretive past and London’s struggle with her sisters, London must question where she really stands—not just with Jackson, but with the Spark House, too.

Okay….first one in the series was a lot better

Some how this rom com felt off - the main characters honestly seem boring and lacked substance and there was no spark no pun intended…I thought there was more chemistry and spark bw Avery and Declan….this one was a miss for me….hopefully, Harley’s story will have more

London and Jackson

London Spark is at a bar with her sisters when a handsome stranger pays for their drinks and gives her his business card. Yeah, no thanks. She's just out of a relationship and is too busy with Spark House, the boutique hotel/event location she runs with her sisters.  A couple of months later, London is doing a presentation for a possible deal at a multi-million dollar corporation and the CEO shows up. Luck would have it that Jackson Holt is none other than the handsome stranger at the bar.

Jackson can't believe his luck: good luck because there she is again and bad luck because now they'll be working together for an event and he can't show personal interest in her until it's over, as it will be inappropriate. When their direct business asssociation is over, they are finally able to pursue a relationship but their personal lives come with a lot of complications for them.

I have to confess that book 1 in this series wasn't a favorite for me, but I was interested in London, especially because she has anxiety. She deals with it with by folding origami stars that she later uses in decorations for events and art pieces for her passion: her Etsy shop.

It was a sweet romance (the steam is there, relax, folks!) and Jackson is a yummy cinnamon roll. The "villain" in this is not villain at all and, surprisingly, the character I wanted to smack upside the head was the oldest sister, Avery (from book 1). She loves her sisters but what an annoying, self-centered, selfish girl. Seriously, girl!

It was a fun, sweet story that I really enjoyed!

Bonus: we get to catch up with a lot of characters from the Shacking Up series.

Narration: Stella Bloom, who is great, and not as much Jason Clarke as you would want.

Rep and possible triggers: FMC has anxiety. Mentions of loss of parents.

Who doesn't love the down to earth millionaire?

London Spark has been rather focused on helping her sisters build up their family business, Spark House. However, her love is in the creative aspect, and not the business end. This is evident by the number of paper stars London has made in the past two books. Her nervous habit has her carrying strips of paper in her purse so that she can make the stars any time. (I’ve given it a try, and I have to say, they’re not so easy. But I think I need different paper.) Just recently single, London finds it necessary to focus on her work, and even turns down an invite from a stranger at a bar.

Jackson Holt is a media mogul, and a young and attractive millionaire, looking to work with other small companies. Luckily his company is expanding to have an office in Denver, and just by chance, the woman who turned him down at the bar is part owner in a prospective partnering business.

The trope of we can’t work together and see each other works well in the second Spark House book. Everyone understands the need to separate work and pleasure, but as the reader, the attraction is there and we’re cheering, “Just do it!”

London and her sisters, and Jackson and his entourage, are fun characters. Ms. Hunting always does a wonderful job of making you feel for them.

If you love contemporary romances with characters who feel for those around them, as well as budding romance, you’ll love this book.

Great performance, great story

Love Helena Hunting and this story did not disappoint. Really fun love story. The stars at first didn’t align, but work brought the two back together. They overcome family and history to find true love.

Great story with wonderful narration

Starry-Eyed Love (Stark House #2) is London Spark and Jackson Holt’s captivating journey and I’m sure like me it will tick all your boxes.
The narrators Jason Clarke and Stella Bloom did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their journey to life. They were spot on with the love and Al, the emotions running through this book and very easy to listen to.
London and Jackson have a history, the first time they met she turned him down so imagine the shock when she comes face to face with him again, only this time she needs his help. Determined to push through a business deal for her family hotel she never expected to be pitching her presentation to Jackson Holt……
Will working together bring this couple closer or will it ruin any future they could have before it has a chance to begin. You will need to read the book to find that out….
London and Jackson’s story is a beautifully written, sweet yet steamy romance and it will appeal to all romance lovers. I fell hard and fast for Jackson and London is the sassy girl I would love in my corner but honestly together they become a couple that stayed with long after reading the final word. Can’t wait to see what’s next in the wonderful Spark House Series.

Is This Even Helena Hunting?

First things first. If Audible is going to list two narrators when one does over 80% of the book then you're going to have some very dissatisfied members that have no option but to leave a review if they can't get a refund. So one refund costs you more people not buying the audiobook. "Great" business practice there, guys.
MAYBE if I heard from Jason Clarke and his character more I MAY have been a little more invested in the story but that would be pushing it. Even the story is so imbalanced toward the female character and her issues that I couldn't root for her and got sick hearing about her.
Lastly, I'm not sure I even believe at this point that this was written by Helena Hunting after listening to two of her other series. This series is more like badly written young adult then an adult contemporary romance. Had I not purchased the first two with a sale I wouldn't have bothered with this one and regret wasting my time instead if just forfeiting the cost of the audiobook. I actually have to take a break from Stella Bloom now in order to purge this experience.

These books!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I love how they’ve met and how it’s just organic

The perfect guy? Nope. He wouldn’t have hidden the one little detail about the past situation. So I don’t blame London AT ALL for her reaction! Oh but Jackson’s restrained, unsure, beautiful heart. London…way to be a strong woman.

The spider thing is a myth and really isn’t a big deal. 😂

Eww, Avery, so snippy!!

I love these books!!!!! Excellent work, Ms Hunting. FACT!!!

This book is very female POV which gives Stella her so well deserved and earned moment to shine! Bravo 🙌🏼 ⚡️✨💖😌

Oh and Jason, as darling as always! Charmed!

Great Book

I like this book very much but did not like how the oldest sister was portrayed. She was very different in first book.

Another good one

This was another great book in the series. The only thing I didn’t like… I wasn’t a fan of how Avery was portrayed in this book… I liked her in the first book but didn’t like her in this one. Other than that great read!

So Cute

4/5 ⭐
2/5 🌶️

Another adorable addition to the Sparks sisters series. Starry-Eyed Love was a billionaire romance with a little bit of second chance added in. It wasn't as spicy as When Sparks Fly as the forbidden tension wasn't quite as high in this one, but still hot, sweet and funny, just like I expect from Helena. There is OW drama and miscommunication drama that feature fairly heavily in this story, which is what knocked a star off for me. They aren't my favorite tropes, but I did love this book in spite of them.

Stella Bloom did such an amazing job narrating London, and Jason Clarke was great as Jackson. I really enjoyed listening to them tell this story.

I loved both London and Jackson, they were so cute together and I loved their chemistry. Jackson made me mad a few times, but despite his communication flaws, you could tell how much he loved her. London was such a kind soul, always giving away too much of herself and running on an empty cup... I was really happy too see her growth in this department though.

Speaking of London's cup being empty all the time. I loved how big of a part the sisters played in this book and I loved how they come together for each other, even when it's hard. I'm so excited to get Harley's story in Make a Wish, coming soon. I'll be sad when the Spark Sisters saga is over...
