An ex-pro gamer's body and mind are on the line as he fights for his life in the Hell level of a mysterious "Tutorial" in this dark fantasy LitRPG.

Lo Fennrick is going to die. Maybe later this month, maybe this very week. Either way, the homeless ex–pro gamer is only going to avoid starving if he freezes to death first.

On a snowy New Year's Eve, Fennrick negotiates one last hurrah in a seedy internet cafe, but at the stroke of midnight, he receives a tantalizing invitation: "You have been invited to join the Tutorial." And when presented with the available difficulty levels, he makes the obvious choice: Hell.

Soon, Fennrick finds himself in frenzied, violent combat, and it's a toss-up as to which he'll lose first: his life or what little sanity he has left. With his criminal record, estranged family, and nonexistent future, he's ready to accept death.

But with monsters lurking in every corner, he's surprised to find himself battling all comers—human or otherwise—in a desperate attempt to save his own worthless self. Can Fennrick emerge from Hell with a single shred of his sanity intact—or will it be game over?

The first volume of the hit LitRPG horror series—with more than 750,000 views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Great story! Fennrick is definitely NOT the good guy but listening to his descent from narcissistic troubled "Gamer" into a sociopathic madman, while stomache roiling sometimes, has been an interesting ride.

I'm looking forward to how this series will progress!

the first ones good. but in the 2nd book the gor just became crazy. the blood, the wearing of skin suits dripping with blood, at least there was a kinda comedy in how messed up it is. But the 3rd book is where you lost me. now I have to watch as you try to make this gross thing into a human again? if you kept him an unapologetic monster I would have stayed invested. the whole redemption thing is stupid. the guy made rope out of children guts and got mad at the parents for being angry about it. now he's an anit hero? give me a break

defs not suitable for children. probably not for most adults either. Mc is mental illness incarnate and I kinda wish i had skipped over various segments, they do horrific things but its generally for mental illness reasons. if you've gone through peak dissociative inducing horrific unfathomable trauma this book does a great job of describing it many times. Dear Lord.
