Publisher's Summary

Summary: 12 Rules for Life by Jordan B. Peterson: An Antidote to Chaos

(Disclaimer: This is NOT the original book. If you’re looking for the original book, it is available from Amazon and Audible.)

Called “one of the most important thinkers to emerge on the world stage for many years,” by The Spectator, Jordan B. Peterson's 12 Rules for Life is a truly thought-provoking read. How should we live in the modern world? Peterson aims to answer this question using his unique blend of ancient traditions, religion and scientific research from his many years as a clinical psychologist.

He does not shy away from the hard questions and controversial topics. White privilege, postmodernism, gender identity, and the source of the world's greatest evils are all discussed. It should not be forgotten amid his controversial opinions that Peterson has over 20 years’ experience as a psychologist and offers countless nuggets of wisdom on living a better life throughout.

Peterson journeys broadly, providing advice on confidence, dominance, communication, discipline, meaning and so much more. If you want to live a better life, read this book, study it - then live it.

Why should you always pet a cat when you meet one in the street?

What can we learn from lobsters about success in life?

What terrible fate awaits those who criticize all the time?

Listen to find out!

It takes the average person 49.5 minutes to read 9000 words.

For the price of a coffee and a time investment of roughly 2 percent of your day, I believe the wisdom in this book to be well worth it's value. This book allows you to skip to the nuggets of wisdom and actionable content in a very easily absorbed, listenable way, including key takeaways at the end of each chapter. Save yourself time and money.

Good overview, much easier than the full book!

The full book is very long and has a lot of content that doesn't fully add to the content. This is great summary and a real time saver!

Took a long time before I would listen

But as Mr. Peterson says always treat people like thay might know somerhing you don't. Turns out we are on the same page and I shoulda read or listened to this a long time ago for confirmation of alot of things I believe and to pick up some new jewels. great job on the summary.

Great Read

I follow Jordan online and was excited to jump into the book. I'd heard a lot about it and it didn't disappoint. Definitely not the last I will enjoy this one.

Just the facts, ma'am.

To break down such amazing logic and teachings in a summary gave me a quick insight to what the book is about. It's broken down into 12 chapters that elaborate the ideas.

Informative and Easy to Understand!

It was perfect that after every chapter there were the 'key takeaways', easily defined to follow.
If you get weirded out by the biblical reference, don't. They are just tools and examples used to help us understand what J.P. is trying to get across.
