I like the series and book two is just as good as book one. Overall the concept of this series is unique enough that I didn’t feel like I was listening to a recycled or overused storyline and it satisfied my craving for this genre. The narrators were perhaps not the best fit. The male narrator does a great job, but sounds a bit older than what my mind’s eye envisioned for Soren, however the narration was very well done. The female narrator sounded petulant… yet bored with a flat cadence that I don’t think fit Astrid’s character at all. I’m not sure if this is how the narrator chose to portray the FMC or just the way she reads. Regardless it affected my overall enjoyment of the book. I actually like the male narrator’s version of the FMC better. Overall, still worth a listen.

Delightful monster romance. Narrators were well matched and delivered a fabulous performance. Will Thorne as the voice of the shades is perfection. Book 2 in this series was just as captivating as book 1. I'm really enjoying the 7 deadly sins as the catalyst for the story outline while keeping the love story like warm hug. Quite a feat. I can't wait till book 3.
