Publisher's Summary
Hawkin Play, the bad-boy rock star with a good-guy heart, has lived a lifetime of cleaning up after his twin brother's mistakes. Hunter's most recent screwup could land Hawke in jail and risk the band's future. Hawke agrees to guest lecture at a local college to stay in the judge's good graces - and a bet with his bandmate to seduce his sexy teaching assistant is icing on the cake.
Quinlan Westin is harder to bed than Hawke imagined. She knows his type and is determined to avoid the rocker at all costs - even if their attraction runs deeper than simple lust.
Just as Hawke might finally be winning over the girl, his brother has other plans. When Hunter realizes his twin finally has a weakness, he'll stop at nothing to take advantage....

WITH A LISTEN LIKE THIS, FOR ME, SLEEP IS NOT AN OPTION
I sadly haven't had a chance to listen to all the books in the amazing Driven series but this book has made me think again and perhaps I'll go back and download the rest and have a K. Bromberg fest. Because this book had everything I love..... a hot Rocker, a feisty Heroine, a great plot that I just didn't want to stop listening to and the narration was excellent.
Underneath Hawkin's drool worthy, sexy, tattooed and confident Lead Singer persona he was emotionally scarred by his past (sorry no spoilers) which made him incapable on loving or feeling too deeply for women. He was a fantastic loyal friend to his fellow Band members, was always covering up for his twin brother Hunter's screw-ups and was a tortured son because of the past. You couldn't help but like him because of all that he was dealing with and what he had emotionally gone through but when he saw Quinlan sparks flew igniting a passionate affair. Nevertheless however sexy, feisty, understanding and altogether compatible with him in every way Quinlan was Hawkin couldn't and wouldn't allow himself to feel more but, as much as he fought it, her support, compassion, friendship and growing feelings drew him in and he finally found himself opening up and believing in the impossible. But he made a crazy stupid sexual bet with one of his Band mates about a threesome involving Quinlan and you knew that this bet was going to come back to bite him in the ass when Quinlan found out and it was just going to be a question of when and where the shit was eventually going to hit the fan.
Worth a credit? It was a really emotional and touching story, it had plenty of drama and angst, was very romantic, annoying, frustrating, had some great sizzling sex scenes and some heartbreaking ones too. Dual POV's. I loved loved loved every well written Chapter.... so creditworthy? well that would be a HELL YEAH.

4.5 Nothing is sweeter stars!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes!
Sweet Ache is a fantastic read. The characters are well developed and extremely likable. I was completely engaged the entire read and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I adore K's writing style. The tempo is fast paced with just enough angst to keep you on the edge of your seat. I would love to give you more on the plot (and how it unfolds) but I think this read is best to discover on your own. I was so pleased to see Colton and Rylee make an appearance in this read. If you are looking for a steamy read with a lot of heart, look no further. As for future Bromberg reads, I will be anxiously waiting for more.
What other book might you compare Sweet Ache to and why?
The Driven Series
What about Angelica Lee and Mike Chamberlain ’s performance did you like?
Both voice actors had excellent vocal expression and successfully created the mood!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Nothing sweeter!

absolutely awesome
Loved Hawkin & Quinlins Story. Kristy did an amazing job showing the emotion and love in each character. She.made the story come to life. Left us wanting more but not wondering what happened. As with all the driven novels she ties pieces and people together. love that she tied several amazing authors/groups/characters into the story.

KB does it again!
Another great story by K. Bromberg. This Quinlan and Hawkin's story. We met Quinlan earlier in the Driven series. She is the feisty and tough younger sister of Colton Donovan. While she is mentioned and introduced, you can actually enjoy this book without having to listen to or read the previous books in the series. Quinlan is a grad student who is in charge of assisting the hot rocker Hawkin Play. While his life may seem perfect it is far from it. The narrators did a great job portraying both characters. Tears were shed and frustration felt while listening to this story but was happy with both at the very end. This book is a great one to listen to. If you lock your rocker romances, this one is for you.

Very nice story about Q and Rocker Boy...
Very nice threaded tale about Quinlan and her new beau. I really like this author's ability to show us new facets of old one / two dimensional characters we might appreciate knowing better. And I like Q's "less in her head and putting to action" personality. The metamorphosis of these two main characters into who they each became in the end was a nice treat.

enjoyable story
Any additional comments?
It was an easy listen. The story line is typical of romance novels. The character development got into the individual characteristics of each of the people. It makes me want to know what happens with the other characters in the book, especially Hunter.
