Publisher's Summary

A practical guide for invoking the power and blessings of Tara, the beloved female Buddhist deity of Tibet

In her myriad forms, Tara - also known as the female Buddha of Tibet - has the power to protect us from inner and outer negativity, illuminate our self-sabotaging habits, cleanse mental and physical poisons, open us to abundance, give us strength and peace, help us fulfill our life purposes, and more. Here, listeners explore each of the 21 manifestations of Tara, engaging with each through traditional meditations, visualizations, praises, mantra chants, and the author's extensive experience as a depth psychologist.

Wonderful introduction to the Bhagavati Mother

Open and accessible. A joy to find and listen to repeatedly.

Amazing book...

This book is very well written and I very much enjoyed it. I only recently got into tantra after studying Tibetan Buddhism for 3 years and it gave me a great understanding of Tara. My only complaint is that the accompanying resources aren't in PDF form... would've made the mantras easier to follow if I could read them myself instead of hearing them.

It has brought me hope

The way Rachel Wooten describes her own experiences, her learning and teachings as a Jungian analyst and therapist, the examples she brings of her client’s lives, the way she presents Tara to us and teaches us her practice, is a blessing and a gift. This book is a gift.
It has brought me hope and a new and truthful practice. I was longing for the Devine Feminine for so long, for that motherly, all encompassing, compassionate and entirely loving force and I have found it in Tara, through this book.
Rachel Wooten is now part of the group of teachers that I bring forward in my visualization when I seek refuge before every practice.
I strongly recommend this book to everyone.

Better in hard copy

Not a lot of stories or interesting anecdotes, but a collection of 21-22 practices, with brief descriptions on the mantra for each and how to do them. You have to look everything up on google to catch it. if you can manage a hard copy, please get that instead.

They picked a narrator with an enlightened kinda voice, which is false because Rachel's voice is just normal -- and yet she knows how to pronounce jnãna, mandala and shunyata. I wish she were reading it, or at least a practitioner! The wisdom comes through the reading and you can tell this lady doesn't practice,
