Publisher's Summary
A simple, straightforward guide to the fundamentals of technical analysis.
Technical analysis is a collection of techniques designed to help you make trading decisions in securities markets. Technical Analysis for Dummies helps you take a hard-headed look at what securities prices are actually doing rather than what economists or analysts say they should be doing, giving you the know-how to use that data to decide whether to buy or sell individual securities.
Since the publication of the first edition, listeners have been faced with many changes, such as new interest rates, looming bank crises, and adjusting market climates. This new edition provides an updated look at unique formulas and key indicators, as well as refreshed and practical examples that reflect today today's financial atmosphere.
- Determine how markets are performing and make decisions using real data
- Spot investment trends and turning points
- Improve your profits and your portfolio performance
With straightforward coverage of concepts and execution, Technical Analysis For Dummies shows you how to make better trading decisions in no time.

Not for beginners
Very repetitive and wordy. It os a waste of time for any "actual dummies" like me. I would recommend "Technical Analysis of the Finanacial Markets" by John Murphy - it is better to read it than to listen to it because you can see the charts and figures.

Buy the actual book
This is a great book to learn technical analysis; however, there is a lot that is missed by listening rather than reading. You need to see the charts, candlesticks and images discussed. If I recall correctly, they do give a way to download the information at the beginning of the book but I could never get the link to work.

Great book but missing diagrams
I wish the audio book included some visual diagrams. Other than that the book itself was great for anyone who wants to trade stocks with technical analysis. It teaches you pretty much everything you need to know.

Very Detailed
This book does a great job of giving you a basic to intermediate education in technical analysis. Barbara goes into detail about The different types of charts and how to read them, how to interpret them, and how to use 360° analysis to fill out the entire situation. She talks about indicators and what they could mean— but not always— and some contraindications to look out for. I love that she says nothing works all the time, so you’re gonna have to learn how to use these basic building blocks of knowledge and apply them to your own situation. She gives you the tools to create your homegrown system for trading.
It was pretty frustrating that the narrator would often suddenly lower her voice volume dramatically. There were many moments where I had to rewind and turn it up to understand what she said. Other than that, the narrator’s performance kept me listening until I finished the book in less than three days.
