Publisher's Summary

At 24, Teddy should be used to feeling abandoned and unwanted. After all, he’s been dealing with it most of his life. But a recent breakup takes him completely by surprise, and now he’s on his own again. Nursing new and old hurts, he leans on his makeshift family and finds solace in a growing and unexpected friendship with an older man.

Forty-two-year-old Barrett has successfully ignored his biggest need for years. His last boy left him questioning everything he knew, and he is determined to lead a vanilla life, no matter how much his friends try to convince him to be true to himself. When he learns his favorite barista needs a new place to stay, he offers a solution that leads to spending more time with the younger man.

A change in circumstances brings both men together and their buried feelings to light. Teddy knows he’s attracted to Barrett but isn’t sure if he’s ready to risk his heart again, and Barrett is losing the struggle against his dominant nature. Will learning Barrett’s sexy secret be too much for Teddy, or is it just the thing he never knew he needed?

Teddy & His Bear is a 90K word slow-burn, May/December, Daddy kink, MM romance featuring one hot Daddy, his sweet new boy, coffee, and unicorns.

Great story and Great performance

I really enjoyed this book. The age difference and daddy theme being one of my favs and what caught my interest. Though aside from an odd spank they were just into the care taking abd loving kind of daddy so its tbe perfect read for beginners and may not be for anyone looking for a more dom daddy kink. It is a very sweet, low angst story of friends to lovers. It started off the first half as a slow burn. Both men being hurt in the past and swearing to just be friends but both not being able to resist their feelings and want for each other. I loved how these 2 fell for each other and helped heal each others hearts. They are both so crazy for the other. They were naturally drawn to each other from the start and had perfect chemistry. I enjoyed this story and despite it being almost 11 hours I never lost interest. It was great from start to finish.

The only critism that I could give is that Dylan (one of the extra characters) was super annoying and I didn't find it believable that Teddy was so clueless about everything and needed his friend to point out the obvious and tell him what a daddy was. I don't think anyone is that clueless for real. Even once together there were moments where he was written to be totally clueless and I just wasn't buying it but was able to look past it.

I never heard this narrator before but he did a great job. He used distinct enough voices to tell the characters apart. If I had any complaint it would be that he used the same tone throughout and didnt express a whole lot of emotion. But I still found it to be a pleasant listening experience.
