A gripping, full-cast science-fiction drama for fans of time travel, conspiracy theories, and unexplained phenomena.

In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes.

Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

But is Earth safe? Could the Vanishing happen again?

To get answers, two teams are launched back in time–one to New York City before the Vanishing; another to follow a bizarre trail of clues through history, from Area 51 to the lost Roanoke colony, and beyond.

There are forces, though, that don’t want the Temporal mission to succeed. And a mysterious being whose own agenda might destroy them all.

I loved the voices and the acting but I definitely had trouble with the storyline… has anyone seen a written storyline to explain?

Audio is terrible. Way too much echoes. Story is fine but not enough to balance the horrible background white noise.

Poor recording

This is an audio movie - a full cast voicing the characters, with music and sound effects that make it all come alive. The dialogue is convincingly narrated and the accents are a joy to listen to.

The plot is exciting, with multiple layers of mystery and intrigue that makes you want to keep listening. I found myself devouring the whole thing in one day!

The story has two endings, as the timeline fractures under strain from all the time travel in it. One is optimistic, one cynical. But neither is well explored, and it feels like the author just wanted a twist ending and wrote something hastily - and that makes the rest of the story seem more contrived. All the layers were stunning when they seemed to be leading us towards a deeper mystery, but at the end it's insubstantial. The weakest part was the mysterious Observer, who...just tells his life story near the end of the book, and seems more godlike than alien.

I love the format, and I can't complain about the price - but I'm left feeling like this could have been better.

Love it! Reminds me of being a kid listening to radio dramas from the 1940s 1950s on the actual radio on Sunday nights in the 1980s.

I really enjoyed the story, the plot line, the acting and sound effects. They really came together for an audio experience that made me binge the book.

I downloaded on a whim. I enjoy time travle stories. This was done quite well for me.
The voices acting was great and the sound quality was a wonder foe my ears with earbuds on.

After having spent a very enjoyable 4+ hours listening to Temporal, I was totally let down by its final minutes :-( :-(
Anti-climactic is a GIANT understatement! Also, after taking 4+ hours building up the story, Temporal ends fairly abruptly.
The ending would have worked if Temporal was, say, an episode of The Twilight Zone (original or ‘80s reboot; sorry, until just now, I didn’t realize there were more series after that!) or The Outer Limits (original or ‘90s-2000s reboot). Those maximum-1-hour formats would’ve worked great with Temporal’s ending; pare down the 4+ preceding hours, then keep the ending = totally workable and enjoyable experience :-)
