Publisher's Summary

I'm heartless and cutthroat. It's just the way I was raised.

I had no regrets. Until she showed up.

It started with her old man. That stubborn bastard set me up. He knew what he was doing. I fell for her before I even heard her voice. What was he thinking, trying to set her up with a prick like me?

She's too good for me. I should've walked away. But every time she told me no, it only made me want to chase her more. And now I'm f--ked. She's f--ked. I'm trouble, that's all I am, and I brought that to her doorstep.

She's gonna hate me. But she's not leaving. She tempted me; now she's mine.

Tempted is a full-length romance with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger.

Meh

it's typical, broody male has something to hide bad boy. The love scenes in the book are few and nothing to write home about... it was a quick listen.

This story was just awful...

I didn’t want to finish but I forced myself. The characters were not well developed. The story was rushed and this was unbelievable. I would say this was one of the cheesiest fluff novels. No depth, no good sex scenes, no good drama, even the hero and heroine weren’t built up to worth doing. There wasn’t a trait they had that I’d want a mate. The whole book just awful. Waste of 5 and a half hours.

Great Listen!

Lauren Landish and Willow Winters are two authors whom I read frequently, so I know and love their writing style. The narrators were both new to me and they did a very good job performing their POV chapters. With the audiobook it's easier getting into Liam and Ell's minds. This story was totally original. I had previously read the book, so I knew there were some unexpected twists, miscommunication between the Liam and Ell and a great ending. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of. This book left me craving sugar cookies and more. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher, and/or narrator. I do not like providing spoilers in my review. This is a standalone book and does not end in a cliffhanger.

Didn't like this book as well.

The female lead in this story was bratty and it made me want to stop listening. She sounded like she was 12 instead of in her 20's. The male lead and surrounding characters were great.

Overall it was weak

While the story was good the Elizabeth was weak. She made the whole story just feel wrong. All the crying and emotions from her was just plain tiring. I will not recommend this to anyone.

Couldn't even finish it

I was surprised since the book had overall great reviews, but I got about an hour into this and had to stop. It was just so pedestrian. The characters seemed completely uninteresting and not worth my time. I felt like I've already met them out in the general nightlife and had no desire to get to know them. The male lead had an interesting backstory, but his inner monologue made him seem cliche and unattractive. He knows he's hot, and he can fight. He seems to need to make a point of explaining that enough in the first hour that I got sick of it. Another Audible Escape dud.

Book was just OK

I think the book would have been better if Lizzy wasn’t so pissed off and winey through most of the book.
I had to fast forward through most of it. Narraters were great.

Unexpected & upsetting will brings the 2 together.

This story started with quite the unpleasant surprise at the reading of the will for both the characters and myself. Elizabeth, having just lost her father unexpectedly and come home to find there was a new person in his life she knew nothing about, is understandably suspicious of Liam and his motives. Still, he finds a way behind her defenses and she falls for him. Hard. But she knows nothing about what he does for work or that it could put her in danger. Honestly, Liam didn't realize his job would put her in danger until he receives the first threat from a business rival. From there things quickly spiral out of control. While Liam does what he feels he needs to do to keep her safe, it is she that ultimately stops him from driving to his death. Once all is said and done, the two find their HEA. The book has no cliffhanger and could be read as a stand-alone, as the really isn't any connection to the first book in the series.
