it started out with such a good build up. Then all of a sudden they're together... that was kinda annoying. I was hoping for more angst and tension.

I read a fair amount of dark romance books, but this one was a DNF for me.
Having the FMC in high school was just too gross for me. I kept expecting it to “flash forward” so she was a more appropriate age, but that didn’t happen.

Came off as creepy.
