Publisher's Summary

Secrets both ancient and new.
Powers great and greater -
with Terra caught in the middle.

Humanity's first colony is a project neither the Duchy of Terra nor the A!Tol Imperium can allow to fail. The planet Hope in the Alpha Centauri system has been lavished with resources and attention - but when an unknown alien force attacks the system, all of that is in danger.

An ancient alien artifact is the apparent target of the attack, an artifact older than known galactic civilization. Suddenly, the backwater colony of a second-rate power is the gathering point for a confrontation of the galaxy's greatest powers.

Duchess Annette Bond might be pregnant. She might be five light years away. She might have another galactic power on her doorstep demanding she surrender their rebels who've settled on Earth.

But she speaks for both Terra and the Imperium - and the galaxy will listen.

Unique story

Excellent world building and continuation of series. Returning characters so we get to follow up on them. Plot is unique. Good narration.

It is fine...

This whole series is really just "fine". It will never grab you and have to sitting on the edge of your seat. It certainly is not a book where you just can't put it down. But the story is solid and I have heard plenty worse. It was good enough to get me to buy all three so far. Usually I am rushing through it because there are other books I want to listen to a lot more.

Yada yada

I'm writing this @ chapter 40...I kept zoning out & replaying. I enjoyed the first two but most of this book is a space battle. A waste of time & money. BORING!

A review of Terra and Imperium.

Good book to read and listen to. Easy to follow. Doesn't get bogged down with details.

Sucks you right in!

While some may say all of these books follow the same format, the series can still pull out surprises for all. Amazing character development and multiple views of the same thing with our making the book muddy and hard to follow.

Good story, performed well

Ms. Huber more than does justice to this series. Well done space opera. I look forward to the next in the series.

excellent

I really enjoyed this story. I can't wait for the next one. There are a few minor things that I find annoying, but overall it was great. The only thing annoying is that the author has tended to make most of the main characters homosexual. One wonders how the human species has ever reproduced. You'd think he (the author) was on a personal crusade with all the emphasis on the character's sexual relationships.

Wonder writing and epic performance

Glynn Stewart writes a wonderful story with some extra depth to his supporting characters. Hillary Huber performs excellently, bringing a wide range of characters to life. With her narration its easy to tell who is speaking. Hillary really brings the energy and emotion to the characters and scenes.

excellent work. I can only hope for more.

I truly hope that Glynn continues to write within this series. new chars fine, new directions with smaller stories not focusing on the big picture, great... Just as long as there is MORE!
