Great listen!

Great stories, very funny at times, full of Terry’s dry humor. Busted through it in no time. Truly enjoyable listen...!

Funk U

All you egg suckin dogs can all go straight to hell!! Funk is the Man! It’s nice to listen to a story about a wrestler that wasn’t a tragic waste. Growing up I saw Funk as a Heel and I loved it. He’d make me nervous as a kid. You didn’t know what this animal was gonna do. Enjoyed this book and recommend it.

A legend like none other.

The narrator did an excellent job. He was funny when he did the Dusty Rhides draw. I remember Terry through my younger years and then again through my kids years. I have more respect and understanding of him now more then prior. The story was easy to follow, brought back memories, was sad and funny.

great book for wrestling fans

So much better than other books on the subject. This is the real story told by a real man. Not someone after the fame and the life style, someone who was brought up in it, who understands it for what it is. And who never lost sight of what matters. I had tremendous respect for Terry Funk before and I have even more for him now.

Professor Funk delivers.

5 stars if the Funker had performed it. More Than Just Hardcore gave me a greater appreciation for the wrestling legend.

Great Book!

I have a whole new outlook on Terry Funk after listening to this audiobook. I used to not like Terry for his many antics he did over the long career he has had but by listening here I learned a lot if not all of the stunts I didn't like by him were created by more than just him and by his willingness to "do it for the show/fans" and to stay in character which is mostly lost in today's wrestling atmosphere. I am now a big Terry Funk fan and have been searching the web to see more and more of his matches that he talks about having in this book. I have a new way to look at the matches now and look forward to seeing more Terry and Dory (as well as Dory Jr) Funk matches. Thank you Terry for all you have done and put into over the years. As a fan of wrestling, now being over 35 years, I can see the influence you have had on generations of wrestlers all across the world. If I ever hear of Terry coming to an area for a meet and greet near me, due to this book, I will make every effort to get to it just to tell him how much I appreciated his work and what this book meant to me.

Enjoyed book

The book was fun and interesting to listen to. A great autobiography. I didn't start watching wrestling until the early 90s but the information was still relevant.
