ONE TOUCH CAN SAVE YOU FROM CERTAIN DEATH...OR SENTENCE YOU TO AN ETERNITY IN HELL.

Born with the ability to defy death, Annora has been warned to keep her gift secret, but her greedy uncle can't resist exploiting her by any means necessary. Starvation, beatings, broken bones - she's survived them all and emerged stronger. But it's not enough for him. It will never be enough. When she discovers her uncle plans to sell her to the highest bidder, she risks everything to escape the prison that has become her life.

The last thing she expected was to land at a university for supernaturals...or be paired with a pack of men as broken as her. As students go missing, Annora can't get over the suspicion that she's being hunted. To protect her, the guys must set aside their personal troubles and begin working as a team. But as her past collides with her present, she must make the ultimate sacrifice and expose her secrets to save the guys who've become more than family to her...and hope she's strong enough to live with the consequences.

Addictive & Promising

I fell in love with Stacey Brutger’s work through her Academy if Assassins series. Overlooking an initially rushed storyline, this series promises to be just as addictive as her other work.

The storyline is a bit rushed and slightly hard to follow in the first few chapters. This is due to a flood of information put forth to set up the dynamics of the story’s universe. After that, the story pushes along at a good pace and pulls you in as the characters develop.

The narration is good, giving inflections to set the tone of the storyline, despite their masculine voices sounding identical.

Overall, this was a very good read. I can’t wait for the next book to come out!

Suprisingly Good! Goin 1K$2 .Keepin' bk1, buying#2

reverse Harem you say? I say darn good book. I love a good original ideascape. the character development of the harem was awfully good, author didn't just reverse the he/she in ol' stereotype gender jokes. There was a real touch used in the spin of reversing the humor in the one suitor many takers situation. Cool new critters, creatures and bad guys U love 2 hate. Great job....
okay I've waited enough where is book 2 please and thank you

Tethered to the world is an ok story.

I enjoyed the story and the characters for the most part..I felt there could be more character development. Everybody fell in love with Annora to quickly. Friendships really were not developed.
I did not enjoy the narrator. She only had 3 different voices. One was the narrator of the story. The second one was Annora and all female voices which sounded the same. The third was one nasally male voice for all the male characters. I found this very irritating because it was hard to tell who is talking. Plus, different characters need different personalities in their voices. This took away from the story for me.
I did feel like the author left it on a good cliffhanger for the next book.

Good start to a new paranormal series

I think the MC, Anora’s species/class and her list of skills are interesting and I can’t wait to see how she evolves. The rest of the characters are interesting but lacking something essential because I felt a bit disconnected at times. Overall, the concept is good but need development.

awkward

listening to this narrator talk in such a stuffy, emotionless, awkward way made the romance in this book seem unromantic. like a teacher talking about sex in a sex ed class.. . sucks, i think I'd have liked the story, but the narration ruined it.

Almost Ok

A lot of the main character's decisions didn't make sense to me. I felt that the author missed a lot of opportunities to build the world and the characters in it. This was an interesting idea but really fell flat for me.

Enjoyed immensely

I absolutely loved this book, and I can't wait for the next one in the series yesterday wouldn't even be soon enough.

The narrator was amazing and made the book stand out even more with her series of voices.

I am salivating in wait for the next book.

Very juvenile

I cannot recommend this book. It starts off great. It’s interesting. I wanted to know more about the characters. However, as the story goes on it loses steam. There is no real story. There is no character development. It comes off very teenagerish. I made it to 60% before I had to stop. I kept waiting for something, anything to happen and nothing.
