Publisher's Summary

He’s fallen for a woman…

Anxious to meet her soon-to-be-husband, Dallas Leigh for the first time, mail-order bride Amelia Carson is en route to Fort Worth, Texas. When she steps off the train and locks eyes with her betrothed, she immediately feels drawn to him. But the cowboy standing before her isn’t Dallas. Instead, Dallas’ brother Houston has been sent to accompany her on the three-week journey to the ranch where she’ll begin her new life.

Who belongs to another...

The war Houston Leigh fought has left him with visible scars, a daily reminder of his cowardice on the battlefield. Denying his intense attraction to Amelia, he is determined to deliver her untouched, as promised. But during their long dangerous trip, he can’t help but admire her inner strength and fearlessness. And when she looks at him - as if she can see beyond his scarred face and read his innermost thoughts - he loses his heart to her. Now as they near the ranch, Houston must choose to remain loyal to his brother - or find the courage to fight for the woman he’s convinced is his destiny...

LOVE ❤️ IS THE CURE ……

Please note that ,Texas Destiny,is the first in the Texas Trilogy by the awesome Lorraine Heath. The story is beyond engaging and uplifting but filled with human frailties that can still be relevant in 1876 and today .
Amelia Carson leaves Georgia due to the war and it’s horrific ravages. She boards a train heading to Fort Worth to marry Dallas Leigh . She has hopes and dreams for a family and home which she holds close to her heart as she leaves her past to met Dallas . However Dallas is unable to meet his bride and instead his brother Houston is waiting at the train station for Amelia. He will accompany Amelia back to the Ranch .
Houston ,once considered a handsome man, wears the ravages of war upon his face . His black eye patch covers an empty socket and the many ,many scars on the left side of his face give him a inhuman appearance . Whereas Amelia’s beauty and courage shine from her both from within and outwardly for all to see. However, the meeting of these two lonely souls spark an awareness that neither can deny .
Amelia sees to the gentleness beneath Houston’s ravaged face and tortured heart . Her gentleness begins to allow him to thaw and dream again . His soul begins to heal and laughter is again heard . Everything evolves around the growing attraction between both Houston and Amelia. Even the knowledge that she is pledged to Houston’s brother cannot stop the growing love between these two needy souls.
This audiobook, Texas Destiny, is a moving, passionate love story that shows love is the greatest of powers and cures . I found and thought often of parallels in today’s world 🌎. Definitely following this trilogy. Awesome, just awesome.🌸
