Publisher's Summary
She wants a fake relationship. He needs something real.
If there’s one thing Rae can’t stand, it’s pity. She’s 40, frazzled, and fed up - so attending an awards ceremony alone while her ex swans about with his new wife? Not an option. To avoid total humiliation, Rae needs a date of her own. And her young, hot-as-hell new best friend is the perfect candidate....
Zach Davis, king of casual hookups, has a secret: the notorious womanizer craves emotional connection, and anonymous encounters leave him feeling hollow. After years of performance, Zach’s desperate to be himself. So why does he agree to play Rae’s fake boyfriend? And why does it feel so easy?
When the line between pretence and desire blurs, Zach’s forced to face an unexpected truth: there’s nothing phony about his need for Rae. But the jaded divorcée’s been hurt by playboy men before. Can a weekend of faking it prove that Zach’s for real?

Thoroughly delightful!
The characters are both endearing, and it touches on a new side of intimacy in such a gentle and enticing way… 5-star read all the way! And the performance was…breathtaking…that voice is pure magic!

Deep and relatable.
This book hit me so deep. And will have you cry and at the same time build hope. Loved it. It can get a little corny at times though, lol.

Mixed emotions about this book
This is my least favorite of the Ravenswood series. I liked Rae ok, but Zack, not so much. He was too demanding and intense and aggressive IMO.
Of all the male characters of the books I’ve read thus far by this author, Zach is resoundingly my least favorite (I liked all the others, even Zach’s brother Nate).

Great ending to an excellent series!
Loved this story and this whole series! The characters were wonderful as was Rupert Channing's narration! Talia Hibbert is a new favorite author of mine - I'm already diving into another Hibbert series!

Love this series
I love this whole series. Each of her male characters are wonderful, kind and caring. Her women are strong and powerful.
I adore that she has a Demi sexual character THe story was beautiful and thoughtful and sexy as hell. I am in a mission to read every book by this author.

Let down was the way just took it
Rae was older (cougar), which was all good for me. I just was not satisfied with the way she treated Zach. He was younger and his demisexual position was interesting. I was just waiting the entire read for Rae to make a stand. Yes, she did make a stand in a sense but not the one that I thought would give her true satisfaction. She took too long to accept the relationship between her and Zach. I felt like she was waiting for it all to fall from under her.
Another narration for Rupert and the feminine characters fell flat for me.

Happily Ever After but no closure
They story was good and hot and steamy but if you're the type of reader that needs a closure for lifestyles of the main characters, this book is not for you.
Spoiler
i would have liked to know how things went with the main character (Rae) and her mother after their fallout.

Love the tropes, didn’t quite connect to the characters
I love older woman younger man but this one was a tad on the boring side. I understood that it was because he was Demi and needed to build a bond with his heroine before anything happened between them but after a while I sort of got tired of hearing him say he was Demi every five seconds. Can you imagine what it’s like to read every chapter that a character is othered because they aren’t white? Well this one was no different.
Which is a same because I thought the heroine had such a good job 👏🏿 but there just wasn’t anything super likable about the heroine and the hero was worse than unlikable, he was just unforgettable.
Wanna bet so far is my fave Talia Hibbert book. I wish she’d write more black women heroines with men of color heroes!

A fantastic final story for a wonderful series
I love Talia Hibbert! A diverse cast, consent, and hot sex round out this lovely romance, making it everything a person could want from a story. The performance, like the other two books in the series is okay, but he doesn't do voices, so it's hard to follow sometimes. He does have a soothing voice though, so it's manageable. I'll be listening to this whole series over and over again!

I am enjoying Talia Hibbert' s story telling...
Her characters are Well thought out And our Humorous. I also enjoy how the author doesn't write a long drawn out oh my goodness when are these couples getting back together again scenes. Also her characters aren't run of the mill or the usual Hero or heroine.
