Publisher's Summary

Have you ever seen a planet invaded by rampaging space mutants from another dimension or Nazi dinosaurs from the future?

Don't let this happen to you!

Rifts happen, so you should be ready when universes collide. A policy with Stranger & Stranger can cover all of your interdimensional insurance needs. Rated "Number One in Customer Satisfaction" for three years running, no claim is too big or too weird for Tom Stranger to handle.

But now Tom faces his greatest challenge yet. Despite being assigned the wrong - and woefully inadequate - intern, Tom must still provide quality customer service to multiple alternate Earths, all while battling tentacle monsters, legions of the damned, an evil call center in Nebraska, and his archnemesis, Jeff Conundrum. Armed with his Combat Wombat and a sense of fair play, can Tom survive? And will Jimmy the Intern ever discover his inner insurance agent?

It's time to kick ass and adjust claims.

Adam Baldwin (Firefly, Chuck) performs Larry Correia's madcap interdimensional tale of underwriting and space travel, where the only thing scarier than tentacle monsters is a high deductible.

Unintelligent, Propagandist, Sexist, and Terrible

I've been a member of audible for over 15 years, and I was suggested this book by their algorithm. After listening to it I am truly aghast that audible would push forward such terrible propagandist, lowbrow, unintelligent drivel. The author of this novel is a member of a sexist, dishonest, politically motivated group called The Sad Puppies which manipulated venerable science fiction awards institutions to give themselves undue nominations and prizes against the will of Science Fiction community. They, and their authors group, have been banned from all such competition due to their theft of recognition from real authors within the genera. I'm rather disturbed that Audible promotes this hate and bigotry in their forum.

Who gave Sean Hannity a pop culture encyclopedia?

Garbage right wing ideology and pop culture references makeup the terrible plot of this story.

Unnecessary political jabs

The first time I was like "did he really just say that?" and the second time I was like "this seems like a fine time to move on to something better."

Overall, this isn't bad. Overall, it isn't good either. Total fluff piece that takes time to protest the fact that we only got one season of Firefly. Quite a few laugh out loud moments. Straightforward, predictable and without any real tension or suspense, it's good popcorn listen if you can get past the author's political cheap shots.

But, I can't, so moving on. According to other reviews, if I'd kept listening I'd have a far more negative review. Sounds like it gets much worse. (P.S. Very short for the price.)

Weirdly obsessed with gender studies

This book was really about taking crap on gender studies. Which is kind of a weird thing to be so negatively obsessed with. Don't think this guy ever actually took a gender studies class. Maybe he would have learned something. I couldn't even get through it, it was so whiny. I would skip this title, the series it probably just as bad.

Do not read if you are a Democrat...

I found the unnecessary derogatory comments to liberals and Democrats offensive. Has a few humorous moments but I wish I had never listened to this garbage.

If Fox New Wrote Sci-Fi

The narrator was good, he is the only reason I made it through the 2 hours. The book is a tone def nonsense piece for angry men that have nothing to be angry about. Tom Stranger is a pompous character that we as the audience are not supposed to view as an anti-hero but an actual hero. He consistently speaks down on liberal arts and gender studies. Which is weird because this is a book. Writing is a liberal studies major.

Everything about the book is dated propaganda from the last gasp of a dying generation. The author may be in his 40s but his writing makes it seem like he is 80. Nothing about this book was funny. The descriptions of the few female characters were sexist. There was an attempt for a noir-type narration to mask the sexism but it is obvious.

Also, Chico State is a great school, has one of the top Construction Engineering programs in the country. So why the author constantly harped on it can only be based in a lack of knowledge about the school beyond its party reputation. Another point, Chico is in Northern California so the side-kick character should not have been speaking like a surfer. The surfer trope is at best a stereotype of Southern California. Perhaps the author was going for an implied stoner? But stoners don't talk like that unless they are a character from a movie in the 70s.

This was awesome!

Adam Baldwin needs to read all of Larry Correia's books. The story was wacky and Adam made it incredibly fun!

funny and short

Adam Baldwin did a fantastic job reading this book! Many voices, sound effects, and very enjoyable to listen to. The story itself made me laugh out loud. The alternate worlds and the famous names mentioned, made it funny.
