great book. you need to pay a bit of attention as it is technical but the prognositications are truly the exciting aspect of this book.

given how some timelines have already past, and we are still far from the predicted technology in some cases, it's sometimes a bit comedic to hear what kurzweil says. that said, it's still a very interesting read for those interested in the future of AI and Technology.

An energizing optimistic book, but dated

I don't share Ray's optimism when it comes to Transhumanism. It was, however interesting to see where his thoughts were and the kinds of things he was able to call in regards to digital/tech advancement. I share many of his thoughts as to where it could go, albeit a bit more pessimistically. I'll be looking into some of his other works.
