Good but could have been better
Let me start by saying I love Gena Showalter, and giving this 4 stars is so hard for me. I feel like I have just insulted a Goddess or slapped the Queen. From what I can tell, this was read off of the original ebook that was released a while ago and I was expecting it to be the same as it was when published in the book Into The Dark. When I email Gena about this, she told me that there was a word limit to the ebook and that she had lengthened the stories in Into The Dark which had no word count. Author's have no say as to which version is released on audio, I believe that is the publisher's choice. This would have been a lot better if the longer version had been done on audio, but that is only my opinion. The story is still very good.
This story starts where Vampire's Bride, book 4 in the Atlantis series leaves off. This novella features Zane, a vampire warrior and his hope to be love, Nola, a Amazon soldier.

A great read but too short..
I really loved this story and have to say that Zane is one of my favorite characters in the Atlantis series so far. The only thing I think was missing was length. I loved the characters and wish they had been developed more and given a longer story. If you like the Atlantis series though, this book is worth the read, not worth a credit but worth the $2.95 that I paid for it (due to length). I didn't really like the Narrator as you couldn't tell the males voices from the females, thankfully it was a short read.

Short ..... but sweet
Good romantic listen and what more do you want for $0.99. If you're a Showalter fan then you just can't miss this little gem.

Too short
I have so many questions and the series is over! I keep hoping there will be a rewrite or update to complete this book and the series, but alas, it appears not.

another great book
As always, a well-written story that can stand alone or follow-up as a continuation of the series. My ONLY disappointment is that I felt, with the nature of these particular characters, they were deserving of a full-length Novel. Specifically, Zane, who has been introduced much before, and the horrible things he experienced. It would have been nice to see more time given to his happy conclusion. For those of you that are new to this author, I would highly suggest starting with the 1st book of the series. For once you do that, not only will you be compelled to read the others, but you will know why we willingly pick up any scraps that we can!

Short but sweet!
After reading The Vampire's Bride, I was left wanting. This quenched my thirst for a bit.
