Through his popular program The David Rubenstein Show, David Rubenstein has established himself as one of today’s most thoughtful interviewers. The audiobook presents archival recordings of these interviews and features new introductions by Rubenstein as well as a foreword by Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden, the first woman and the first African American to lead our national library.

Through these captivating exchanges, these best-selling and Pulitzer Prize-winning authors offer fresh insight on pivotal moments from the Founding Era to the late 20th century.

I can't recommend this book highly enough to anyone interested in American history. It's essentially a sampler of all the great historians of the past 50 years and has thrown my "To Be Read" pile into complete disarray.

Brilliant!

This was a fascinating book, even for a Canadian! Particularly when the American political system is in such chaos currently. I learned a great deal about past Presidents, and other dynamic characters within that system. The section on the founding mothers was a bonus. Bravo!
