Publisher's Summary
It has been called the political crime of the century: a foreign government, led by a brutal authoritarian leader, secretly interfering with the American presidential election to help elect the candidate of its choice.
Now, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post national security reporter Greg Miller investigates the truth about the Kremlin’s covert attempt to destroy Hillary Clinton and help Donald Trump win the presidency, Trump’s steadfast allegiance to Vladimir Putin, and Robert Mueller’s ensuing investigation of the president and those close to him.
Based on interviews with hundreds of people in Trump’s inner circle, current and former government officials, individuals with close ties to the White House, members of the law enforcement and the intelligence communities, foreign officials, and confidential documents, The Apprentice offers striking new information about the hacking of the Democrats by Russian intelligence; Russian hijacking of Facebook and Twitter; National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s hidden communications with the Russians; the attempt by Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, to create a secret backchannel to Moscow using Russian diplomatic facilities; Trump’s disclosure to Russian officials of highly classified information about Israeli intelligence operations; Trump’s battles with the CIA and the FBI and fierce clashes within the West Wing; Trump’s efforts to enlist the director of national intelligence and the director of the National Security Agency to push back against the FBI’s investigation of his campaign; the mysterious Trump Tower meeting; the firing of FBI Director James Comey; the appointment of Mueller and the investigation that has followed; the internal battles within Trump’s legal camp; and Trump’s jaw-dropping behavior in Helsinki.
Deeply reported and masterfully told, The Apprentice is essential listening for anyone trying to understand Vladimir Putin’s secret operation, its catastrophic impact, and the nature of betrayal.

Review
I just started listening to the book, and I would say its a lot of good information but the way its conveyed seems almost unorganized and the monotone tone of the reader is making the book seem almost uninteresting. Mr. Miller was better on NPR selling the book than reading it, an actor might have been better.

Poor narration ruins the book
This is an important book by a leading journalist. The poor narration by Charles Constant is hurried and lacking nuance. I must return this and buy the hard copy.

Rehash: No new material on subject, painful listening
I tend to find authors who narrate their own books do themselves a huge disservice. In this case the only benefit is that a professional narrator wouldn't have accept part of the blame for a poor audiobook. I've been reading all the books on the Trump travesty, so I'm well aquatinted with current knowledge. There is nothing new here. On top of that, it's poorly written, badly organized and has managed to make a complex real life political-spy thriller boring.

An in depth analysis of the Trump administration.
Greg Miller studies the series of events that lead up to Trump's unlikely presidency and the aftermath that ensued at all areas of government.

computer generated narrator
Love Greg Miller and his work, but the narrator was really awful and sounded like one of those computer generated voices you hear in you tube videos. Please improve narration quality.

Great book. A must read.
The more that is written about this evil president that was elected by an adversarial country the better. We need to know everything this horrible narcissist has done to get to where he is and what he is doing still. More and more people have to understand the truth and join with the many of us that believe that we are at a very dangerous time in our history.
