I’ve been a lifelong follower of Amelia Earhart’s story and The Aviator & The Showman is the best and most thorough account that I’ve come across. It’s funny that in the introduction, Lawrie Gwen Shapiro mentions reading a Scholastic biography of Amelia as a child. I must have read the same book.

My only negative comment is that in the audiobook, Stephanie Powers mispronounced some key names, notably Spadina Avenue in Toronto (Spah-DIE-nah) and Regina, Saskatchewan (Ree-GIE-nah). Did anyone speak to an actual Canadian in researching the book or audio recording? Small points, yes. But they lead to the question, what other errors were made?
