It’s every mother’s worst nightmare....

I’ve done a terrible thing. I’ve told too many lies.

It’s gone too far and now my best friend’s one year old daughter, Eden, is missing.

I know what happened but I can’t tell anyone my secret, I can’t tell the police or Eden’s parents.

But I know who has her and I’ll risk everything to get her back....

Not bad for a fun read

The story line was fun, but the characters came off a bit silly. Well narrated and interesting to the end.

Had to give up on this book

The plot is interesting but I had to give up on this book because I couldn’t handle the narration. Way too dramatic - every sentence seems to end with an exclamation point

A Different Book

Well this was a good story. Well written and I liked it. The narration was a bit irritating. High pitched and sometimes annoying by the different characters.
However, Gemma Rogers always writes a great interesting book ,so I ignored the narrations and kept on listening and wanting to find out the ending.
Which was indeed very good and the story came together nicely. Liked the Epilogue and a great ending.
I’m very glad it was included. I would recommend this book.

Good story but didn’t like the narrator

I almost gave up on this book not even 10 minutes in because of the narrator. It was so over the top and theatrical, but I decided to give it a chance anyway. Overall I’m glad that I did because the story was entertaining enough.

Okay, I give!

Okay, I give! It took me four of Gemma Rogers' novels to accept that her protagonists are supposed to be flawed, which is why it makes it difficult to like them; they are the villains! Sorry, Gemma! I feel as though I should re-read those novels and re-review them from a less critical perspective. This narrator, Imogen Church, I enjoyed immensely, except for the elder ladies' and detectives' voices, which sounded 'weird' to me. Her characterization of Jimmy was great! I was interested to see where the story went, and feel it went where it should.

I struggled through this book

Wow I finished the book only because I'm anal and had to, if I was physically reading it I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to.
it would have been better written as a comedy it was so unrealistic and predictable
Also, I never do the samples because the quality of the narrator is always so well done. I will now have to change that habit. I keep a list of narrators that I love and often pick a book just to hear there performance., now...
