The author could have explored more of Adam’s grief and backstory. Some elements were a bit loose within the context. Overall enjoyed it but felt like a few things were missing as I reached its end.

Didn’t like how it seemed to copy statements from pride and prejudice. It had the ‘right’ components of a good historical romance but rushed/glossed over the connections to build character depth.

I’ve been wondering if the authors listened to and approved these readers. I am struggling to get through this because of the terrible audio interpretation. The male reader is passable but the female reader totally ruins the book for me.
