This Fritz Leiber book is honestly a bit hard to follow. You really need to concentrate on it to get anything out of it (I tried playing it in the background while doing other things - and that didn't work well). The concept of "Time Warriors" popping in & out of our reality is intriguing.. but most of the book is philosophical posits without much in the way of action. The musings are worthy of contemplation.. but the book is kinda boring.

Doubtless, subpar narration from Suzanne Torren contributed to my "Meh" impression of the book. To be certain, Torren is a solid professional with a pleasant timbre & cadence.. but both her voice-acting choices/delivery + tone are a little over-the-top throughout.

Altogether, 'The Big Time' belongs in the 'Plus' catalog. This 5/10-star recording was a reasonable distraction for a quiet snowy afternoon for free, but not worth a Credit.
