The Book of Enoch is actually a collection of five shorter works. The section that is usually presented as chapters 37 through 59 and 61 through 69 of the Book of Enoch was originally known as the Book of Parables and is actually the most recent of the five collected texts, likely dating between 50 BC and AD 117.

This translation of the Book of Parables comes to us from notable scholar of apocryphal literature R. H. Charles. A new, lengthy introduction has been added, exploring what the Book of Parables is about, offering assistance to the listener.
