Publisher's Summary

Keeping a secret this big is going to take lots of balls. Specifically, rugby balls.

The Cad

Bryan Leech is a cad.

Or, he was a cad.

No one is quite certain.

Once the quintessential playboy, Bryan claims he's done with wild parties and weekend benders. No more one night stands leading to mornings he can't remember; no more binges and blackouts; no more exploits plastered all over the tabloids and rag sheets. According to Bryan, he's cleaning up his act.

The only problem is, no one believes him.

The Co-ed

Eilish Cassidy never thought she'd be a mother at 19 or still in college at 24. Cut off from every member of her family except her favorite cousin, she's finally managed put her life back together. Stronger and wiser, Eilish enters her last semester of university determined to stand on her own. Now she just needs to find an internship.

The only problem is, her best option - by far - places her directly in the path of her son's father, and he doesn't remember her at all.

The Plan

Bryan is determined to prove he's changed. Eager to settle down with the right woman, he's got his sights set on the gorgeous redhead who seems terribly familiar.

Eilish is determined to hide her secret. She'll do anything to keep her child safe, even if that means ignoring her own wishes and desires.

But what happens when Bryan starts to remember? And what will it take for Bryan to convince the girl he forgot that she's unforgettable?

Male Narrator

I'm not sure if the man was reading or legit experiencing these things but damn he's freaking good.

4 The Cad and the Co-Ed Stars

Ok so I really wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. I knew the players but I wasn’t really invested until about chapter 5ish. Bryan is a player on the team that Sean and Ronan play on and he is the “Cad” a player a womanizer. Who finds time self-drunk a lot and well he doesn’t remember most of that time in his life. He is now reformed and in AA.

Eilish is Sean’s cousin we meet her in book 2 a little bit, and she and Bryan hit it off only he doesn’t remember.

And well things happen and a few years later now that Bryan is sober, she has somethings she needs to tell him.

It really is a great story of strength and overcoming for both of them.
I do think my favorite part was getting to see Sean take on the brother roll for Eilish. I really liked Sean’s book and it felt natural that he was in this one the way that he was.

Great narration I am a huge fan of the accents swoon worthy right there!

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Awful Narrators

The male narrator's affectation of the female Irish voices makes them sound like ancient, blue-blooded leprechauns. And the female narrator draws out every word even when it isn't appropriate. During love scenes it can work, but it doesn't need to be EVERY WORD throughout the book.

As for the story, the main girl was infuriating. The cousin's behavior seemed completely out of character with how he acted in the previous book. And the miscommunication about the custody case was taken to absurd lengths.

Bryan and Eilish

Second chance romance.

I loved how Bryan's story and character developed from book 2 through this story. We already knew that Eilish was a likeable character from her support of Sean in book 2, and she became even more so here, with her fierce independence.

I especially enjoyed the fact that both narrators were actually Irish - their casting & performance earned an extra star from me!

A hit!

I loved Eilish and Bryan's story. Both characters show a ton of growth in this story. And my heart grew with every interaction Bryan has with Patrick. I loved how these authors tackled the secret baby trope, as well as how they showcased addiction and the trials and tribulations someone endures in their sober life following that addiction. I also appreciated how they included the judgement single parents face from the friends they used to hang and party with. This writing duo is perfection.

I should have never waited

I did not read or listen to the first book in this series. I did listen to the second novel in the series and loved it! After listening to the second book I was sure I would enjoy book #3. I was right. This is funny and sweet in all the right places. I enjoyed the overall story concept. I am now going to listen to book #4 in the series. I hope there are more in this story or adjacent stories that will connect to these stories.
