I love Jenny Colgans' books. They are a light, feel good read with an compeling story line. She does great character development and the narrator was fantastic (as always). Great scottish accent... the american ones were a bit odd, but it wasn't too bad and the story was good enough it was ok.

I’ve listened to this book twice and love it each time. Charming and great characters. I loved the next book in the series as much or more. Would love to see it made into a movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially because of Sarah Barron’s narration. Her handling of the accepts of extreme northern Scotland was enchanting. And she actually sang the songs in the text instead of reading the words! Very well done! I may listen to it again.

Charming Story and Performance

The story transports the reader to a different world. A place of simple life that I dare say many are longing for now at this time in history. It's a story about realizing we may already have everything we need in the place we start from as well as a hope that some of us are lucky enough to get back to it. It's a book about love, family, vulnerability, and things that truly bring us happiness. The narrator is magnificent, a woman who does all of the voices of women and men and all of the accents. She is amazing! And now I will start the number two novel in this series, partly so that I can continue to hear her. I highly recommend this book.

This was a nice book and the narrator's voice is wonderful. I found the ending a bit rushed and unfinished, but really enjoyed the characters and lead up of this one.
