Callahan's Crosstime Saloon is the neighborhood tavern to all of time and space, where the regulars are anything but. There was more relevance to today’s world than I expected, the puns were more pungent (and punlady) than I can hold my nose for, and the tales were overall more moving than I remembered. So glad I took the time to listen and care.

I ran into these books a few years ago and really enjoyed reading them. When the opportunity came to listen to them as audiobooks, I jumped at it with glee.
The reader, Mr. Whitener, does a super job reading the stories. He's able to 'bring them to life', to make the different characters 'leap off the page'.

This is one of those books that really needs a full cast—the guy is doing his best and usually does well, but when it comes to Callahan’s Irish accent, it’s all over the place.
