Story
From his rapid-fire stand-up comedy riffs to his breakout role in Mork & Mindy and his Academy Award-winning performance in Good Will Hunting, Robin Williams was a singularly innovative and beloved entertainer. He often came across as a man possessed, holding forth on culture and politics while mixing in personal revelations - all with mercurial, tongue-twisting intensity as he inhabited and shed one character after another with lightning speed. But as Dave Itzkoff shows in this revelatory biography, Williams’ comic brilliance masked a deep well of conflicting emotions and self-doubt.

At last, the full story behind Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman's epic romance, including stories, portraits, and the occasional puzzle. How did they do it? They came from completely different families, endured a significant age difference, and were separated by the gulf of several social strata. Megan loved books and art history; Nick loved hammers. But much more than these seemingly unsurpassable obstacles were the values they held in common: respect, decency, the ability to mention genitalia in almost any context, and an abiding obsession with the songs of Tom Waits.

Most famous for advocating "pugnacity, truculence, testosterone, and belligerence" during his tenure at the helm of the Maple Leafs, Burke has lived and breathed hockey his whole life.

Mike Myers is a world-renowned actor, director and writer and the man behind some of the most memorable comic characters of our time. Publisher's Summary
The New York Times best-selling biography of an American comedy legend.
After three years of sobriety, Chris Farley's life was at its creative peak until a string of professional disappointments chased him back to drugs and alcohol. He fought hard against them, but it was a fight he would lose in December 1997. Farley's fans immediately drew parallels between his death and that of his idol, John Belushi. Without looking deeper, however, many failed to see that Farley was much more than just another Hollywood drug overdose. In this officially authorized oral history, Farley's friends and family remember his work and life. Along the way, they tell a remarkable story of boundless energy, determination, and laughter that could only keep the demons at bay for so long.

Awesome
I love this book. At 45 I lived through his era. The Sandler era. my friends and I speak of him from time to time as well as Phil Hartman. this family did a fantastic job putting this book together. The interviews are very widespread and seemed most honest from his friends as well. I have listen to just about all of the big biographies inaudible and this one by far as my favorite

Incredibly sad....
This book, while being a very insight and beautiful look into the life of Chris Farley, is more of a three-part eulogy. It will make you laugh but sits under a cloud of despair while it does it. Finished it in three days because even in death and through others' stories, Chris Farley is still someone that can grab and hold your attention.

Everyone love it when fatty falls down.
What made the experience of listening to The Chris Farley Show the most enjoyable?
What made the experience of listening to this boy most enjoyable was hearing all of these fist hand accounts from people who were close to Chris Farley and knew him well.
What did you like best about this story?
What I like best about this story was hearing from multiple accounts about Chris. Here's his girlfriend's take on this specific story, and now here's what David Spade says. Learning about Chris from this oral history helped to create perspective.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scenes were the ones where Chris was sober and committed to his sobriety. It sounds sappy, but it was great to hear about what a joy and a presence he was, especially when he was sober. Person after person talked about what a big lovable sweetheart he was but how you could tell these demons were always there, just below the surface, waiting for their chance to come back out. While the man was clearly plagued with some vices and demons, it was nice to hear that at his core, he was much more than that and that people truly loved him.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Chris' funeral was particularly moving. Hearing these first-hand accounts about how his death impacted these friends and family members was especially moving. David Spade's piece about why he didn't go to the funeral surprised me, but also made him more human and helped to demonstrate the emotional weight this death really had on those who were close to him.
Any additional comments?
Great book, especially if you are at all interested in Chris Farley's story. I thought I knew the man but this book made me realize that there was so much more going on.

This is a compilation of notes and quotes from interviews with friends and family. It makes for a tough listen because you are constantly barraged with the names of the people. Probably much better as a kindle or physical read.
