How hard do you have to shake the family tree to find the truth about the past?

Fifteen year-old Rae Kerrigan never really knew her family's history. Her mother and father died when she was young and it is only when she accepts a scholarship to the prestigious Guilder Boarding School in England that a mysterious family secret is revealed.

As Rae struggles with new friends, a new school and a star-struck forbidden love, she must also face the ultimate challenge: receive a tattoo on her 16th birthday with specific powers that may bind her to an unspeakable darkness. COMPLAINTS ABOUT REA (SPOILERS)

Some spoilers in review proceed at your own risk.

So this series I do enjoy but Rea is a complaining cry baby with no understanding of anything around her but her self.

What I mean by that is she enters this new cult/world and all she does is look at it from her point of view nothing else. My biggest annoyance is when rea knows the the journal that her uncle gave her is information bout the mind control device and she doesn't tell anyone about it. When she was told hey a guy killed him self and couple other people because of the mind control device. She said well it's my journal I don't need to give it I want to read it before giving it to some one else to save people. She has it for days/weeks but she never reads it. She could read it at night take a day off what ever but doesn't.

Another thing that the author keeps doing is repeating things. When Molly help rea and Devon with the cloths for the princess job her told them hey u know carter is the PC President and said she knew rea knew but not Devon. Then later when with everyone she said ur the freaking PC president every one knew then when they had the family/friends dinner with rea's mom she almost said but your the freaking pc president she said oh no maybe Molly doesn't know I should lnt say that out loud.

Also how she keeps referring to the teens that is one year younger then her and probably not even one year because she was born late in her year she keeps calling them kids and how can they do anything they are kids. She keeps referring to her self as an adult but keeps crying when Somthing doesn't go her way. She is so annoying. Now Molly is the best.

Also when dollar bill gave the book girl Emily or somthing $5 pounds Devon said hey stop making fake money ur a tax payer and the dollar bill buy said dude I'm 14 years old. Aren't they only supposed to get there tattoo at 16? Like this author is all over the freaking place.
