There were moments where things lined up too perfectly. But if you’re looking for something comparable to hunger games, divergent, maze runner. This is not it.

The cataclysm idea was very interesting in the beginning but got watered way down, literally.
I had a hard time finishing the book and just skipped a few minutes here and there just to get to the point.
This story lacks realism. It was just difficult to imagine the landscape in which the characters evolve. Like there were barely any roads, towns, fences, highways, highrises, forests, stores, hills and valleys, in the United States?! - and the only thing left is water and flat mud trails.
The redundancy of the 3 main characters doesn't bring much to the plot. It would have been nice to see them interact more together. The many ways they escape death is overkill.
If the intention of the male narrator was to render Adam just plain dumb, it worked.

I got lost, too many characters, not enough landmarks.
