Publisher's Summary

In Dee Henderson's novella Betrayal, Janelle Roberts is freed - thanks to people she doesn't know - after serving six years of a 20-year sentence for a murder she did not commit. But a murderer is still at large, and Janelle needs to be somewhere safe with someone she can trust. She may not survive another betrayal.

In Dani Pettrey's Deadly Isle, Tennyson Kent is trapped on the isolated island of her childhood by a storm surge, and she is shocked when the typically idyllic community turns into the hunting grounds of a murderer. Cut off from any help from the mainland, will she and first love Callen Frost be able to identify and stop a killer bent on betrayal before they become the next victims?

In Lynette Eason's Code of Ethics, trauma surgeon Ruthie St. John saves the life of Detective Isaac Martinez. After a betrayal leads to him getting shot and then attacked while in recovery, Isaac is now a key witness determined to testify. But someone is intent on silencing him - and those around him - forever. Together, Ruthie and Isaac go on the run, desperate to escape the killers hunting him.

Great Novellas from some of my favorite authors

Loved these books. Betrayed by Dee Henderson features Anne and Paul Falcon. Like reading about old friends.
Deadly Isle by Dani Pettrey is a stand alone novella and well written.
Code of Ethics is part of Lynette Eason's series about the St. John family.
Great stories, all three. Worth the read or listen

Breath taking, Heart stoping stories

This book was amazing and made me want more. All three stories call for series to follow. They all left me wanting more and feeling a littl let down. I would reccomend anyone for this book. I especially love how the three different authors wrote about our protective and lifesaving services. these men and women need more praise and positive attention. The reader was amazing and because I have to listen to books, I believe I can say that she made them come alive for me. I could see the scenes in my minds eye. For these reasons I gave this book a full five rating. I hope all three authors will turn these stories into new series.

Punctuation

The narrator continues as if there are no punctuation, dialogue continues in a monotone voice as if it was just words without meaning. Messed up 2 of my favorite authors.

Excellent

I love that three of my favorite Christian authors wrote three novellas related to the protagonist being betrayed and the way they dealt with it.
I highly recommend this book!!

My favorite authors, but...

Normally I love Dee Henderson, but this story really didn't have much of a plot, very little romance or tension, and an unresolved ending. Her characters are vivid and sympathetic, but there just wasn't enough plot to get fully invested in the story. And the choose-your-own-ending left me feeling disappointed
it was as if Dee herself had no idea how to end it.

I totally loved the other two stories by Dani Pettrey and Lynette Eason. Lots of conflict, tension, emotion, and plot twists!

I do recommend this audiobook because the last two stories are awesome! And, who knows? You might disagree with me about Dee Henderson's story and love it, too.

New favorites

Dee Henderson’s name hooked me into the book. Pettrey and Eason were new to me. I will definitely pursue other books by these capable Christian authors. A delight to listen to with enough mystery to keep me interested and enough romance to leave a smile on my face.

Henderson's strong writing

and good storytelling in the first novella could not carry the other two. The third was well done until the very juvenile end. The middle story had me skipping most of it. I'm thankful for Audible Escape so I can take a chance and not feel bad if it doesn't really work for me.

All three stories are great!

I really enjoyed this book. I especially liked the first and third stories the best. All three stories were good mysteries that I thoroughly enjoyed!
