Publisher's Summary

A summer rental, a new beginning....

Hannah Russell’s carefully crafted plans for her life have been upended without warning. When her best friend died suddenly, Hannah became guardian to a five-year-old named Noah. With no experience at motherhood, she’s terrified she’s not up to the challenge. She and Noah need time to get to know each other, so she decides to rent a country house with stunning views on a lake in rural Colorado.

When they arrive at the house, they are greeted by the owner, a handsome man who promises to stay out of their way. But his clumsy Great Dane, Romeo, has other ideas and Noah immediately bonds with the lovable dog. As Hannah learns to become a mother, Owen Abrams, who is recovering from his own grief, can’t help but be drawn out of his solitude by his guests.

But life throws more challenges at this unlikely trio and they are tested in ways they never thought possible. All three will discover their strengths and, despite their differences, they will fight to become a family. And the people of Sullivan’s Crossing will rally around them to offer all of the support they need.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr delivers an emotional and triumphant novel about the fierce power of a mother’s love.

Guests Abound

Robyn Carr has created another hit with the latest in Sullivan's Crossing series. She has a way of showing that family is what you make of it. The listener will be held captive until the end because of all the characters interactions. I always look forward to the next book. Narrated by: Therese Plummer, who brings this book to life.

Awesome story

This was a great continuation of the series. I loved that we still get to see the characters from the other books in this one and also loved the new characters. The connection between Owen, Hannah and Noah was wonderful. The narration was fantastic as always. Therese can do many voices and they all sound unique and great. I would definitely recommend this audiobook.

Nice Surprise

I am never surprised by the ending of a romance novel. Those of us who are true Romance readers, we know that the Romance book we’re reading is going to have a happy ending. It’s the reason we read them. So, when people say “it was so predictable,” I say “duh” again, its why we read them. This was a typical Robyn Carr book and a typical Therese Plummer performance. I enjoyed all the characters, revisiting some I already knew, and the love story between Hannah and Owen. If you’re looking for heat and sex, skip this book. Per Carr, for this story, it wasn’t needed and it wasn’t there.

Ok

I like listening to Carr's stories, but this one did not really keep my interest. I skipped over some parts because it just got boring. Eight hours could've easily been shortened to five if repetitive details and unimportant descriptions had been edited. It was an ok addition to the series, but not one of the better listens.

Loved it A WONDERFUL ESCAPE FROM RIOTS PROTESTS AND PANDEMIC!

Loved the family and Sullivans crossing characters and hope she keeps writing many more books. I love all the characters in this little town . I love Sully and Helen the most. I never want the books to end and feel so happy after reading her books .. ive read or rather listened to at least a dozen in a month and they are such a refuge in this chaotic world in 2020! Im addicted to them and love the narrator too. Please keep writing about this wonderful colorado area! Thank you for providing such a nice respite in this world of riots, protests and pandemic. I can turn the TV OFF and immerse myself in the safe AND MOST INTERESTING place of Sullivans Crossing FULL of country life and interesting characters. CANT WAIT TO LISTEN every night!
