This is the first book I’ve gotten through in a while. Great story that keeps you hooked.

One wonders what led Daniel Hurst to develop this serviceable Suspense-Thriller (it's a strikingly unique plot populated by characters with mindblowing psychopathology)..
Did the guy have a fever dream or something? It's weird.
Enjoying the book also takes a significant amount of suspension of disbelief (it's a pretty ludicrous premise overall), but if you can manage it, the book provides "more than satisfactory" WTF entertainment. Yes, his vocabulary/prose is pretty limited, but Hurst also provides stilted yet realistic dialogue and sufficiently vivid description to tell the tale. This story about truly unlikable people doing truly insupportable things is undeniably fun.

The reading performances from Matt Bates and Eilidh Beaton are similarly imperfect but praiseworthy. Both demonstrate impeccable diction, cadence, pacing, and voice-acting - the most notable deficiency being a grating interpretation of the 10-year-old version of 'Grace' by Beaton.

Altogether, 'The Couple In The Cabin' merits 6 stars out of 10. As a 'Plus' selection, it's definitely worth a download, but better options beckon should they ask for a Credit.

The couple in the cabin is worth the read. But it jumps around a bit with flashbacks but easier to follow than some audiobooks I’ve encountered.

This was a quick read but really kept me interested. I love Daniel Hurst books. Some of the twists were guessed early on but it didn’t ruin the story for me.

What a great, psychological Thriller, I love the narration and how the story went back and forth. I could not put this book down, very intriguing. I highly recommend it.
