John S (AA member and 2 times cancer patient)

Tina's book is a great resource for anyone suffering from addiction issues, it's filled with personal insight, practical wisdom and highlights the many aspects of the AA program which not only help us to get and stay sober but also give to us a quality of living we never would have thought possible and the strength to survive any adversities we may encounter in our lives moving forward including cancer!!!"

A vital read especially for other Indigenous women

It is exceedingly rare to hear a quit-lit voice like Tina's. The daughter of an Indigenous woman, her upbringing was charred by the corrosive impacts of a neglectful and abusive childhood. Miraculously, she survived and is now thriving as an educator, author, and speaker who lives to help others do the same. The Courage to Be True is an honest, authentic, heartfelt, and beautifully written testimony of possibility; there is a way out of despair, starting with one little step. I highly recommend this book, which includes a compelling and relevant guiding question at the end of each chapter. Buy this book and listen to it today! Dr. Amie Wolf
