Publisher's Summary
"The first time I saw him was at a bar called Ophelia’s on a misty Thursday night. I was there to drown my sorrows after a trying day, he was there to escape the storm. After a brief yet incredibly cruel exchange, the handsome stranger bolted before I had a chance to tell him off. Incensed and two cocktails deep, I followed him out the door, determined to give the audacious Adonis a piece of my mind.
Tearing after him in heels and barely able to keep up in the freezing rain, I ended my chase when I realized where he was going.

And I never could have anticipated the way our paths would cross again-or that I would one day find myself falling for a man with a hollow cavity where his heart should be, a man as callous as he was beautiful, as complicated as he was mesmeric.
They say never to judge someone unless you know their story.
This one’s ours."

A DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME
SPOILERS:
First, The author has way too many coincidences so it just completely blows apart any suspension of disbelief. She should have labeled this as a fantasy book. There is no development to any of the characters - they're all stiff and trite. The writing is high school at best. And she has the supposedly stern alpha male character knowing that the girl he's kissing is wearing pomegranate lip gloss, that his mother's eyelashes are mink and something else that I can't recall that's equally girly that no man - gay or straight or otherwise - would ever know. Just a huge waste of time.

just o.k.
this book started out really strong for me, but then the chapters started to fall short. some chapters could have been combined or maybe just elaborated a bit more. and I love dual POV stories but personally think a male needs to narrate the male chapters. I often at times felt a little lost not remembering who's chapter I was listening to.

Thoroughly enjoyable!
It was nice to listen to a romance story that wasn’t too predictable and that unfolded at a good pace. It had some interesting elements to the story telling that kept me mostly engaged. Honestly, the best part of the story for me was the narrator. She played both the MCs beautifully (as well as the rest of the characters) not only with her voice but with the emotion she put behind it all. Great listen! I will definitely be looking for more books narrated by Ms. Lindsay.
