I loved the book all the Lord's have special quality deprived of love for centuries and suddenly it is found

Narrator isn’t that great

Almost sounded like the narrator was reading notes instead of a book so didn’t make the book all too interesting for me

Caveman love

There's only so much you can do for a story. It's not bad, but does seem a bit like a high school fanfic. Sometimes the writing is elegant then it turns into prehistoric. Max did all he could with the dialog, but some of it is poorly written giving caveman like dialog .
