À propos de cet audio

First, businesses discovered quality as a key competitive edge; next came science. Now, Donald A. Norman, former Director of the Institute for Cognitive Science at the University of California, reveals how smart design is the new frontier. The Design of Everyday Things is a powerful primer on how - and why - some products satisfy customers while others only frustrate them.

Ce que les critiques en disent

"Provocative." ( Time)

I struggled with this audiobook version due to the dated examples used to expand on still relevant principles. I would still recommend it, but I think the book version would be more beneficial for learning the content.

CD players are the newest form of technology referenced in the book, and this leaves many portions feeling empty. I grew up with all of the tech referenced but I still found it a struggle. An update would allow Norman's design philosophies to continue to reach many new generations.

Edit: There is a revised and expanded version on Audible by the exact name. It says in the sample that the examples were updated...

Solid principles, but greatly outdated
