About this listen

The Blood Angels Chapter of Space Marines is under threat. Having obliterated all human life in the Red Scar region of space, the largest tendril of Hivefleet Leviathan ever seen in the Imperium has converged and is making relentlessly for Baal.

To face this awesome foe, Commander Dante has called upon the Successor Chapters of the ancient Ninth Legion. The Sons of Sanguinius gather in numbers not seen since the dark days of the Horus Heresy. Thirty thousand Space Marines stand ready to thwart the Great Devourer, save the homeworld of their primarch, and prevent the consumption of billions in the Ultima Segmentum beyond.

But the tyranid swarm numbers in the trillions, and they are not the only danger to the chapter’s future. As the galaxy slides toward a terrifying new era, events far away threaten to unleash a greater evil. A further enemy must also be overcome, that of the Black Rage that lurks in the souls of all Sanguinius’ bloodline.

I don't play the table top but, the lore and history of the 40k universe is rich, deep and immersive.
Overall the story is great. However, the voice acting is... well... heresy. ha!
The Blood Angels all sound like utter wimps with nasal congestion and asthma outside of Dante and Seth, but even their voices are almost unbearable.
Buy the actual book and let your own imagination fill in the blanks.

I bought this because I was curious about the Blood Angels and the Nids fighting. I wasn’t disappointed. Great action from start to finish. Wonderful story with well developed characters. Will end up listening to this one again.

I now love the blood angels

Three of the four voices done are very jarring or irritating. Destracts from an otherwise good 40K book. It’s not the best story but it’s exactly what you look for in the series.

Fine story - not the right voice actor

never a dull moment in the book. it has the same feeling as fall of cadia in terms of importance and scale. I found the flesh tearers and night of blood to be the most compelling. the Finnish was amazing and left me searching for the next book. the black rage and red thirst were written extremely well.

compelling throughout with a spectacular Finnish
