Power is one of the most misunderstood - and therefore vilified - concepts in our society. Many assume power is predetermined by personality or wealth, or that it’s gained by strong-arming others. You might even write it off as “dirty” and want nothing to do with it. But by staying away from power, you give it up to someone else who may not have your best interest in mind. We must understand and use our power to have impact, and pioneering researchers Julie Battilana and Tiziana Casciaro provide the playbook for doing so in Power, for All.

Over the past five years, Dane Jensen has asked these questions of thousands of high performers - from Olympic gold medalists to Navy SEALs, politicians, executives, and busy parents. What has emerged from these conversations is that while everyone’s experiences under pressure are unique, pressure follows patterns and develops in predictable ways. Timeless Investment Strategies and Stories
I really enjoyed the book, lots of great stories. Talks about how investors should think, and real-life stories to make you remember these principles. Easy to understand, it changes my mindset on the bet size and my perspective on risks and rewards. Definitely a good read.
One part I find hard to follow is the numbers and figures it uses to prove a principle. If you are reading a book, that's easier to follow. But listening to the audible makes it hard to memorize all the numbers and figures.
Just a heads up, that the Kelly formula mentioned is not updated. As Mohnish Pabrai himself said in his lectures. The Kelly formula is only for frequent betting, so it is not applicable to stock investments. He said it himself, he would take that out of the book if he is writing it again.

This book has completely shifted my mindset on not just investing, but on life. Be a giver, seek value, and create wealth to give. Choose companies & people to believe into, not the market. Decent, some outdated strategies, some good stuff
The stories are nice but, the strategy where they guy a hotel/motel for $5,000 is not possible today. There’s water a 20 room motel locally that sold for over 4 million. There’s no way a middle class man could afford the down payment today much less make enough to pay the mortgage every month.
I get that some stuff Is used an example to get the gears turning in your head but most of the strategies are hard to accomplish now a days. Most content in this books are more towards the rich.
The book did have some interesting content. It’s good enough to listen a second time and even buy the physical book.

Highly informative and accessible
Many investment books are dry and overly number heavy and this one strikes a perfect balance of having super practical information based upon actual case studies. Pabrai is a humble genius and a true craftsman in that he also managed to do a brilliant job with the prose as well with wonderful story telling that colors and contextualizes and confirms the entire modus operandi behind the Dhandho lens on business and investing and his own personal approach to it.
