Publisher's Summary
In a world that will not tolerate the mention of sin, and in churches where it has been defined only in generic, sociological terms, one could make a good case could that repentance is one of the least used words in the English language today. Repentance is essential to true Christianity - Jesus Christ himself said that if we do not repent, we will perish - and there are few better guides that have existed in this or any other area of spiritual experience than Thomas Watson. He was well versed in both scripture and the human heart and wrote with a simplicity and directness that keeps his work fresh and powerful for the 21st century.

timely and Direct
The Narrative by Derrick Perkins sounds like poetry as he narrates the book with his English accent. Thomas Watson is direct with his Doctrine and artistic with his choice of language.

Awesome
What books written over 300 years from now will be read, much less listened to?! I was blessed from beginning to end. This great man of God knew true repentance. Highly recommended to those who are honestly looking to repent. Others, looking for a watered down don't offend me book better take cover. To God be the glory.

Listen to it again and again.
I've always found it hard to dig into Puritan books, so when I saw this, I just had to listen to it.
Being as it is a deep theological work, there are so many nuggets of wisdom to keep you coming back to listen to it. This is not one to listen to at double speed.

Much Needed
After listening to this book I realized how much I needed it. I also plan to re-listen to it at a minimum annual; or whenever God turns me to it due to my sinning, to bring me back to a contrite heart.

This is the best book on the doctrine of repentance that I’ve read. There is no escaping the biblical truth of repentance in Watson’s amazing work.

A Favorite
There are so many amazing Puritan works, it's really impossible to say enough about them. This one by Thomas Watson on repentance is simply outstanding. Here is an essential subject in dire need of understanding by all. This work easily bears much repeating.
