Publisher's Summary

The last of her kind. Four hot alpha mates. A legacy of bloodshed.

When Ren Landis goes looking for excitement on her 21st birthday, getting kidnapped is a little more than she bargained for. So is finding out that shifters exist - and that she's one, too. As the last of the dragon shifters, she's got a role to fulfill: Take the alphas of the four shifter groups as her mates and unite all shifter kind. No pressure, right?

Too bad Ren's fate isn't as simple as getting it on with four scorching-hot men. A group of rogues is out for dragon-shifter blood, intent on finishing the massacre they started years ago. With deceitful fae and murderous vampires thrown into the mix, the paranormal world is on the verge of catastrophe.

How can a girl who's only known she's a shifter for a week heal 16 years of chaos?

Contains mature themes.

Excellent story, male vocalist sucks

If your female reader is going to have accents for certain characters, then the male reader should have the same accents. However, he was monotonous at best, and when he tried to do an accent here and there out of the blue he failed hard. I never had any idea what character he was reading. The female vocalist was better although switched between southern/Australian/sort of British for Marco's character. At least for the rest of the males and all of the females I always knew who was talking. I tried not to let the unfortunate choice of vocals ruin the book because the story was amazingly written and so creative. I truly enjoyed the story and think the author has a great style if writing.

Well told shifter love story

I wasn't sure at first, took me a little bit to get used to the narrator's voice. But once I was in, I was hooked. Even came to live how she changed her voice for West. It's an interesting story without gratuitous sex scenes. All the sex scenes furthered the storyline. I kinda wish I hadn't finished it so fast.

Great adventure

Really enjoyed this series. Liked all the characters (except the bad guys, of course). Refreshing to escape to a world where someone had empathy, believes in second chances and forgiveness. Wish our world had more of that.

Listen at .085x speed

If you listen at this speed the female narration is not all that bad. Her voice is more bearable. However when she says Dragon, I cannot help but snicker. Overall the story is good. The performance is good. And the story is good. I definitely wanted to keep knowing more and more as the books went on.

Very nice collection of PRN RH

It's so nice to have reverse harem books in a set like this. it makes for a huge savings in credits to just buy the one book. I also enjoyed the series and the narrators do a really good job. The story wasn't that original in that it follows the fish out of water troupe. But it has enough twists and turns to make it worthwhile.

So bad

This was so so so disappointing. There is a reason why you can listen to the whole series with one credit because it sucks. I really do not understand how it has so many good reviews. I zoned out through most of this. If you like fantasy sci-fi kind of thing you should listen to Piece of Mage series. That is good it is everything that this series is lacking. Great sex scenes really great sex scenes an actual plot ,great plots, great characters it makes you hold on to every word. If by accident I zoned out and got busy or if I feel like I didn’t catch something I would always start the chapter over again that’s how good it was and I could definitely listen to it again this book I would never ever listen to it again and I never write reviews but I felt like I needed to save you a credit by telling you to save your credit!

Frustrated from the start

I was hoping this would be a worthwhile listen, especially since it’s four books, but I just could not get into the story. I had kind of liked the MC because she seemed like she’d be a strong character, but (slight spoiler) she gets kidnapped by four men and immediately gets horny over these strangers. These strangers that kidnapped her. I lost all interest after that.

Boring!

I read a few reviews that made this book seem promising but they all failed to mention one glaring truth. This book is boring!

Ren is weak at best. Constantly apologizing for not knowing more about shifter law even though she had her past and memories hidden away. It's clear that the author wants to have a stronger bond between Ren and West but he's suck a complete jerk, I spent 2 and a quarter books wishing she'd tell him to stick it where the sun doesn't shine and find her a new alpha. Honestly, there's zero real chemistry with and of the characters to the point where it just feels forced.

Oh, and if you're looking for a steamy, sexy story.... look elsewhere. You're going to get a few heavy make out scenes and about 1 sex scene per book. So if you're not a huge fan of those anyways, this is probably the book for you.

The book drags and while I usually appreciate a different view on shifters, vampires and fairies, this book makes all three of those seem incredibly weak. Seriously, Ren has to struggle to hold on to her dragon form! I get if it's hard to change from one to the other but struggling to hold it, shouldn't be an issue when referencing shifters. All the characters are weak and forgettable. I'm not even finishing this which is hard to admit but I just can't stomach another mintue of listening to a boring plot full of weak characters.

Ren

On Ren Landis 21st birthday, she is kidnapped only to find herself amongst shifters. She is soon advised that she has 4 prearranged mates that are all different shifters....and by the way - she's a dragon shifter too. Ren hasn't heard from her mother in years, so she may be the last dragon shifter in existence. With no role model and no instructions she's supposed to be the diplomat in the shifter realm - problem is - she has to learn on the fly while a rogue faction continues to hunt her to kill her....and she has no idea why.
With her mates by her side, Ren navigates the shifter, fae and vampire worlds to weed out who can be trusted, who killed her family and how the different species can work towards a treaty.
