Publisher's Summary
New York Times best-selling author Diane Chamberlain delivers a thrilling, mind-bending audiobook about one mother's journey to save her child.
When Carly Sears, a young woman widowed by the Vietnam War, receives the news that her unborn baby girl has a heart defect, she is devastated. It is 1970, and she is told nothing can be done to help her child. But her brother-in-law, a physicist with a mysterious past, tells her that perhaps there is a way to save her baby.
What he suggests is something that will shatter every preconceived notion Carly has. Something that will require a kind of strength and courage she never knew existed. Something that will mean an unimaginable leap of faith on Carly's part.
And all for the love of her unborn child.
The Dream Daughter is a rich, genre-spanning, breathtaking audiobook about one mother's quest to save her child, unite her family, and believe in the unbelievable. Diane Chamberlain pushes the boundaries of faith and science to deliver a story that listeners will never forget.

I’m overwhelmed. And in tears…
I’ve yet to write a review for audible books-despite having listened to close to 100 books-until now. So far this story is my favourite. I don’t know exactly how the author does it, but she manages to pull the characters so far into my heart that it is so difficult to stop listening to their journeys; I need to know what will happen next. I become so invested in the characters. I’ve loved all of her stories, but this one took me on such an emotional ride and delivered the experience of so many emotions-joy, fear, anticipation, concern, hope, sadness, nostalgia, a sense of wonder and of course love. Diane Chamberlain is such an incredible story-teller. And I love how she always inspires a sense of hope in the goodness and kindness of people in the world through the relationships that unfold in her books. I just finished listening to this book and I am in tears. Tears of happiness and sadness. You have to read this book to find out why. And then read the other stories written by the brilliant Diane Chamberlain.
