Simply amazing; I keep falling asleep in 5 minutes
Before Whisperlodge, I had tried ASMR podcasts and didn't get the sensation. Both The Dressing Room and The Office somehow knock me out before the story really gets going! I get a warm, relaxed feeling, like settling into a scented bath, and then I'm gone. There is a comfortable awareness of the beat of my pulse, and my scalp, neck, and stomach muscles relax. For a life-long insomniac, these tracks are total bliss. But it takes forever to hear the whole story because I always fall asleep!

World's loudest spray bottle
The sound mixing here is off. The whispering is ok but the other sound effects are jarringly loud. There needs to be more of a balance

This is great!! Recommend!
The narrator did such an amazing job of bringing this experience to life, everything sounded so natural. She’s very gifted. The sounds were really relaxing. By the way, in case you’re thinking of adding this to your library, I would recommend listening from a little farther away, it makes it sound more realistic.
This is so relaxing, I tried listening to it at noon and it literally almost made me fall asleep. This is SO GOOD. If you get it, you won’t be disappointed.

Inconsistency in voice level versus sound effects
I thought I'd give this a try. Never heard of ASMR. Sounded like magic - you listen and are guided through hearing sounds and get pleasant tingles on your scalp and beyond. I didn't get any tingles. I got nothing but aggravated. The woman starts out whispering and I mean WHISPERING. So softly I had to turn up the sound. I gather your body is supposed to react to the various sound effects her whispers (which do get somewhat louder so they are "audible" & understandable (most of the time)) lead you through.
The sounds are diverse. I'm a woman with a bladder disease, so the sound of liquid pouring (for tea) was an unfortunate choice for me. There's a lot of cracking/cracking. Not a fire crackling in a fireplace but brushes and makeup box, eye shadow -- never knew it was so noisy! All I could think of is beavers chewing on trees. I never did manage to hear WHAT PICTURE she constructed from the freckles she connected with her make up brushes, but don't think the majority of Americans have freckles and can relate to this bit...
I'm a retired writer whose favorite job in work life was writing children's stories fitting in a specific set of words. If you gave me a bunch of sounds, I'm confident I could write a story integrating them that's more entertaining and relatable than this one.
I marked it finished but I had about 20-25 minutes left. But I'm pretty sure I'm done.

A little weird at first but it's very soothing.
It sounded a little creepy at first but it was very relaxing after the first couple of sentences.
She asked questions and mentally I answered. I don't know how but she answered the question matching my response.
I recommend listening but listen with an open mind.

No No No!
I couldn't listen to more than 5 minutes of this. Instead of inducing sleep, it made me tense.
..silence....the narrator whispers....silence....whisper.....silence.... shoes clomping across the floor--my muscles tense --...silence.....whispers. GAH!!! It's like someone is sneaking up on me.
I refrain from throwing my Kindle off the bed and across the room. Stop the thing--and go back to listening to 50 classic horror stories. The droning narrator of that puts me to sleep.

More like this please!
I love this ASMR format. It’s a short story with great sound effects and just enough to put me to sleep. The narrator is soft spoken and not too whispery. It is so much better than a bunch of weird sounds or hand movements. ASMR can be creepy but these four Whisperlodge stories are special. Just listen and fall asleep.

ASMR
If you love ASMR then you’ll love this. Otherwise you might have to get used to the whispering. I find it very soothing

Uneven sound issues.
I found this audio book ito be much less effective than others in this series. There were too many issues with the sound levels. The narrator's voice volume changed several times, going up and down, and eventually became so quiet that I could barely hear her. Yet the other sounds remained at a steady volume, making them jarringly loud if you raised the volume so as to hear the voice.
