How can they remain rivals when they’re falling in love?

As children of two of the most prominent families in the north of England, Gavin Keighley and Rose Denholme have been at odds their whole lives. Both families claim to have been cheated by the Duke of Tereford out of rightful ownership of the sprawling estate that borders their properties.

When the Duke and Duchess of Tereford come to town to get their estate in order, they invite Gavin, Rose, and their families for a visit to settle the feud once and for all. This story was absolutely delightful, though I take issue with its title. Perhaps a more accurate one would be “The Duke — AND DUCHESS — Have Done It Again”, lol! I thoroughly enjoyed the tale, particularly the sniping between the two protagonists. Their story arcs were satisfying, to the point that I didn’t even mind the slightly diminished roles that the Duke and Duchess were given in the story. And Rosalyn Landor… she is a GOAT for a reason! Her narration was impeccable!!!
